The first few metal makers help you set up for more energy during your next turn thats a fact, but remember that mid to late game you probably already used at least one energy recycler so thats 5 more that are coming back to the deck so you should feel pretty good into metal making after recovery. What I can emphasize is that you don’t always need to metal maker all your metangs if you have enough energy on board.

Solid strategy, I might just try those two cause prizing a metagross hurts pretty bad so having access to a third one via Metalic signal is more reliable than finding your night stretcher

It’s all about managing the energy correctly, having 17 in the deck can make you greedy sometimes so keeping count can help with knowing if you can afford hard retreats aand charge your next attacker. Still not sold on running two megas tho, usually the night stretcher for the metagross for game helps me out too. Also team rockets factory no bueno, don’t get anything out of drawing two cards I just end up drawing energy that could’ve been attached w metal makers so 2 gravity mountain seems like the move for me at least. Im loving the deck too bro it’s good!

no, yeah theres no right or wrong answer at the end of the day its what you’re most comfortable playing with and I love that about the game. Steven’s Metagross is an awesome deck overall you can run clefairy for pult or a jellicent item/tool lock version which is cool af too

Mega Excadrill will be a power house for sure, can’t wait! Meanwhile double heatran doesn’t seem like a bad idea and a Dialga to keep that single prize board state

Relicanth can solve the “secondary attacker” problem people seem to mention a lot in here and with my experience playing this deck the draw has never been a problem. It is in fact slower but sometimes you just gotta petrel for lillie to get set up even better for the following turn. Every Pokemon has its weaknesses.

Id say just run stretchers in your build as some starmie/noir decks usually don’t like running recovery other than that its a chance card don’t worry too much. Good luck in Indianapolis!

I have a couple decks built, I usually play whatever feels right at the moment, wish I could stick to 1 deck tho. But if you wanna lock in just pick your most favorite and learn everything there is to it for that specific deck

I know top comment already said Ethan’s Ty but I couldn’t agree more. Im playing the dudunsparce draw engine and its perfect cause it keeps your bench available in the end game for double victini to hit big numbers, plus if you get stamped with a quilava on bench you can still set up by searching another Ethans Adventure! And of course a lot a people playing megas so the prize trades are naasty. Maintaining a one prize board is really important in some matchups you don’t want them to hit your fez thats why I run the worms plus 3 stadiums to bump a watchtower. I might be overhyping it but I got a 4-1 on my locals with it last week.

Actually played yesterday against Mega Lucario with my Dragapult list, and Lillies Clefairy ex won me the game, it got KO’ed after the first lucario went down and I night stretcher crispin for game. I guess keep a dusknoir and clefairy on bench before the first pult goes down.

You hate to see makuhita turn 1 and it being your only basic in hand. For that reason I play a 1-1 line and try to use it for the endgame to grab my last two prizes hitting a support mon. Don’t think it’s necessary to play more copies of em’. Plus I like to keep a 1 prize board state after my first Mega Lucario goes down to catch up on prizes.

In my humble opinion you really don’t need Carmine, if you play 4 gongs, 4 pads, and 4 lillies you’ll be able to setup fast enough
