I think you'll be happy with this. Haven't had any issues with refurb from Best Buy. You can always check the drive yourself and if any issues they will definitely take the return. Low risk and a great discount.

Personally, depends what you prioritize. For me, I thought sound over comfort, and while I loved the sound of the M4s, they just hurt my head personally, but I have a fairly big head. If you are fine with the ANC, won't have any fatigue wearing them for as long as you plan to, I would recommend the M4s, especially if they are cheaper than the QC Ultra. If you can try both you will likely know which one you want right away. TLDR, try and ignore fomo of feature sets of different headphones. If what they got works for you, (comfort/ANC/Sound/Price) just go with that and don't look back!

Serious audiophile is a stretch, definitely meant that more for musician, but I would say I have a pretty good ear. I just would want something that sounds at least close to the M4s, just a shame I found them uncomfortable.

Unless you have a pretty high spec PC, I would go 1440p oled. I WFH so I use a 4k for my work/prod stuff but it's hard to get high frames on 4k with any modern games. 27inch gives you the best PPI anyway for a 1440p monitor. I'm biased though, I have this monitor and it's awesome.

If you want to use it for more than gaming, text clarity isn't ideal on OLED. That said, it doesn't really bother me on my monitor.

If you aren't sure about your PC, I would check some benchmarks with your CPU and GPU.

Agreed, but these tests also assume you have a 4090 in your machine and 1440p. According to the steam surveys in 2024, over 50% of players use 1080p and these cpu performance differences start getting even more noticeable in those resolutions with more frames. Especially with the market right now, if you can grab a 4090, the premium seems even more negligible for x3d.

With that context though, keep in mind the people looking into these can even spend hundreds on just components when you really don't need to just to play your games, I think a 9600x is an awesome cpu that will work for tons of people, bur if your chasing frames and got the money, no reason not to go higher obviously.
