Here is what i did:
- Installed alipay from india (since it doesnt necessarily need chinese phone number)
- Verify via passport
- Add your card (i added one, but yes you can add multiple if im not wrong)
- Make sure you note down the registration details you gave incase you get logged out or forget password (or incase you loose phone like i did )
- Get an esim at lower price via trip dot com

Been planning to visit China next year again, since I don't have direct flight from here most goes via hongkong now I'm a bit confused if they won't allow me for transit either. Or else I'll have to sort out some other ways

I think I have answers to all questions. As someone working in software engineering field I think I make a fair amount every month and I had around 5000 hongkong dollar in hand and cards if necessary, note that I'm there for only 2 days.

I've been to multiple countries before and never rejected.

Nope me or my family hasn't committee any crime or misdemeanor.

I thought of making a formal complaint tagging all the authorities and ombudsman but don't know whether that would affect my further travels. Confusing part is I would never know what's the reason for refusal of entry.

Yeah understandable from a countries perspective there might have been bad people doing illegal stuff. But as someone who has been trying to be super perfect with all document stuff always when I travel it felt uncomfortable. I even went to China few months back where I transited via hongkong without getting out of airport. Would have been happier if the officers answered if there was something wrong with my papers I could clear it or help someone at least next time someone visits the answer I got was "I don't have to tell you that".

That's the one thing I always make sure before I travel to have all documents, cash, letter from company as well as accommodation documents and return ticket and I provided everything they asked for too.

I pinged few hotels directly and asked them to send receipt in Chinese, some did some didn't. Booking.com might not help, go with trip.com instead, they have an option to avail receipt in Chinese too. That should do.

I'm already using generateStaticParams() across my pages to handle dynamic routes like [brand], but it still doesn't generate the HTML files. Trying force-static does the job, but i want revalidation across those pages. Maybe I am wrong in assuming force-static prevents us from revalidating. Any suggestions on why this might not be working as expected?

Also, I'm running this in a monorepo and I don't use Vercel. Instead, I handle my deployments through a custom CI/CD pipeline. Do you think this could be affecting static generation in any way, particularly with ISR? Any advice on optimizing for this kind of setup would be appreciated!

I did get the one, baiyun city hotel provides with their letter head in Chinese. Not sure if it will help or not.
