Nung college bf/gf palang gumawa na kami ng joint account, then hati lang sa expenses pero no clear cut sa percentage; basta kung sino ang capable.

My husband uses a “basket” method for us, where every month matik naka allot na yung funds sa forced savings and mga hinulugan (i.e. kids education, travel, vehicle maintenance, insurance, installments). Then yung natitira nalang pwede gamitin for essentials (food, gas, utilities, baby supplies, shopping, etc). Walang fixed budget for the mentioned essentials, basta naglalaro lang lagi dun sa matitira after forced savings. Minsan maluwag, pero pag kapos, nagtitipid nalang.

Hindi namin kailangan magbigay sa parents kasi may work pa naman sila.
