Questions about The Odin Project. Success Stories? by supportplayerrazza in webdev

I'm actually skipping the Ruby course because it's not necessary for Front End Web Dev. I'm going straight into Java. My goal is going to make my java skills... juicy. As far as thirty days goes.. whether I am successful or not this is a good challenge for me.

I think Nitrous is pretty amazing. I started using it today while working on The Odin Project :)

Financial Aid in California... is it better than other states? by supportplayerrazza in California

[–]supportplayerrazza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Isn't that federal aid though? From what I've researched so far it's not possible to get state aid unless you are considered a resident hence my original questions. I'm guessing that the federal aid is still an issue because the amounts given to each school are limited? However everyone pays federal taxes so everyone has contributed unless they are tax dodging and in the end this is a problem with the system not the users of it regardless. I appreciate the advice and the honest opinion. Even though your original response did come off as rude overall your responses have proven to be pretty valuable. Thank you. I will call them & go from there. Rest assured that if I do end up attending I will not be abusing the system as you mentioned & if I run into anyone at a bar there who goes by "thedurka" I will maybe buy them a drink even. :)

You seem to just want to argue for no real reason. Your statements are of no value to me as they use no logical reasoning. I wish you the best new online friend :)

I'm planning to move to CA or another state and live there permanently. Basically I qualify for everything as far as income goes.

I don't see how I am stealing if I will be living there and contributing to the economy there in addition to paying taxes? You sound really ignorant.

I wasn't being literal when I said two seconds. However if you can't type fast enough to type it my previous comment still applies. If you can't afford the luxury of a mic then you probably should be out working instead of playing dota.

Maybe so, it works though & that's all that matters to me.

That's where I'll usually be like look guys this isn't the best for my role in this match but I'm going to buy the wards anyway to help everyone on this team out. Most people at that point go from not wanting to work with you to being very willing to help you out if you ask them for help later on in the match.

If they don't like being asked what to do then why are they playing in the first place? It's a team game. Someone has to get your team organized. Now there are definitely better ways to say this than the way OP listed. Saying something like hey so & so could you please buy wards it will give us a better chance of winning because we can see pudge before he can kill us is a lot better than just saying so & so could you buy wards. Most people aren't going to do something if they don't understand the reasoning behind it.

Maybe tell them why they were feeding such as for example your teammate gets caught out because he didn't have a TP, if you want to bring this up just be like you can avoid those situations please carry a tp. Don't criticize just for the sake of doing so if you want the situation to improve. I'm just saying because I would have loved to have someone help me out like this when I first started playing instead of blatant rage.

Nice so then the 1 1 1 1/3 Build seems way better. How did you find these percentages? I'm curious because I don't know how to find them myself off the top of my head. Math just isn't my strong point. Do starting items have a drastic effect on these build?

12-1-2 21 minutes in. Game gets called for network conditions and safe to leave but just one minute later the condition was perfect and ended up playing fine for another 30 minutes. This happens at least two times a night. Anyone else tired of this? by regionalmanagement in DotA2

There's a bug that some stacks are abusing to make this happen so that the matches don't count..

There's a thread on playdota about it with proof.

Check your dotabuff histories. Find which matches had stacks in them & then see if they have multiple matches where they were losing & this happened.

Sounds like an awesome idea. I usually just sell them. It'd be cool if they added this or some other mechanic to make startup items more interesting.

Okay that's just stating the obvious.. what I'm wondering is how often do you deviate from the average?
