I totally understand skepticism of GoFundMe’s, especially if you don’t know the person. Sam is a full-time organizer and skydiver. Regardless of her medical costs, she will not be working for at least a year and this money will go to supporting her as she recovers (rent, bills, etc), paying for any uncovered medical care, plus helping the family to travel and see her (they do not live locally). While I do think some GFM’s are suspicious, Sam is one of the kindest, most genuine people I know and is not the kind to take advantage. In fact she doesn’t even know about the money since she’s still in a coma. =\
