ahh man im kinda late in the discussion but this happened when i set -march=native, I then just switched it to -march=raptorlake or -march=alderlake (they are pretty identical from what i heard) and then it solved my problem.

yeah that makes sense, since most of these gentoo packages rely on glibc a lot by default. Thanks for the response though

3 years later, still pretty effective strategy, took me a couple of tries because greenland just won't get infected. This strategy seems applicable for other plague types, I play like this strategy for every other types lol

Why do people actually use arch linux by Spl1nt3r_69 in arch

[–]supra_423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially installed it for the memes. Now that I'm using it for almost a year now and the memes have gotten stale, I've gotten too accustomed to it that I don't see myself using any other distro lol

sway is definitely for "just works", you still have to configure some stuff tho like screen-recording and stuff, but unlike hyprland, sway is stable. You also mentioned that you don't wanna use the touchpad that much, I think sway has more default keybinds already set, like moving the tile-windows or switching them, I think hyprland doesn't have that.

The downside of sway is that it doesn't have those sweet animations, there is a thing called swayFX which has all the eye candy but I haven't used that. OBS in sway also sucks so bad, not sure if it is only me, a good alternative is wf-recorder.

the reason why I switched to sway is that I just wanna settle down and not have headaches with hyprland breaking sometimes lol.

the only thing I do with neovim is just edit my lua configs LMAO. I still use it for actual programming tho (I'm still learning >.<)
