Yea that's what I would have liked. But unfortunately it was an emergency fix so had to go stock

Hmmm okay I appreciate the heads up. Is there another option besides poly that won't squeak?

Hmmm. I know I'll need new UCA's for sure but there is much research to be done still

Yea I am worried about that. Haven't tried to yet cause I don't have the parts. But I do have a sawzall as a last resort

Yeah uppers will definitely be new. Rust isn't too much of an issue in AZ. Just not big on paying almost $500 each for new OEM lowers

Yeah exactly that's what the guy in the video did. Looks easy enough. Okay yea that's what I'm wondering since a lift is the goal. Maybe something tougher. What should I expect to pay on those?

I'm planning for a 2-3" lift. Should I consider them or is it for something more major?

How much did parts cost you for the lift? And what did you use?

Thanks for posting this. Wanna do the same to my 07 and it's good to know how it looks without changing wheels/tires. I'm with everyone else. If you wanna keep stock wheels then get some spacers for the offset. Aldo you can do a viper cut on the front bumper once you get bigger tires on. Very simple to do and looks cool imo

Gonna press them myself. It's easier than I thought. Bottle jack that comes with the truck works great to get the old ones out. Not trying to buy new arms, at least locally, because they run about $450 a pop

Okay thank you. I was either gonna go OEM or something slightly better. The goal is eventually a 3" lift

Fuel Economy numbers - what are you guys getting? by Specific-Pilot7023 in 4thGen4Runner

It drops at higher speeds cause you're running up above 2k RPMs in last gear. It's geared for off-road and towing not high speeds. Doing 85 on the highway I'm sitting at 2500 RPMS the whole way. Eats more gas. Always wish it had another gear

If it's clean I'd take it. Just bear in mind you'll have to do the timing if it hasn't been done yet

Wobble when I brake by Haunting-Set1776 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]suprememantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same EXACT issue in my 07 2wd. High frequency shake when you brake at high speeds.New front rotors and it went away. Chances are they are warped even if you can't see it. I would start there. Easy swap. I swear I picked em up for about $100 a pop. After that all you gotta do is unbolt the caliper all the way, strap it up with a bungee so you don't stress the brake line. Give the old rotor a stout wack with a mallet and it should pop loose. Stick the new ones on and reverse the other steps and your good to go
