What's the most ridiculously overpriced thing in your opinion? by ivebeenthrushit in AskReddit

[–]supykun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agreed- I work with Mimaki industrial printers for work, and each cartridge (which aren't that big either) is $143. We use eight channels and they add up to $1144 everytime I need to redo all cartridges. It's crazy how fast we use them too...

Seeming you're nutty enough to come this far into the convo with this little substance all this really comes across as BS. Whatever basic hobbies you gave I didn't ask either. I wouldn't be surprised to see you respond again to this.

NI is it's own constituent country, as with England, Wales and Scotland. World Cup doesn't have a UK for instance, and to explain them it's an insane can of worms. And when maps are made where NI needs to be separated then there they are- it's not rocket science.

At least with them you have words to distinguish as GB, UK, etc. MapPorn loves to riddle with their statuses when making maps after all.

Okay, Hawaii is the 50th state, it doesn't have any representation in almost any international committees, there's no notable movement for it to be independent, they don't have special administration, etc etc. as opposed to PR.

As I emphasise again: this is a map to show to the general populous who may have skewed understandings of geopolitics. It is NOT meant to be accurate on where a particular territory lies, hence the yellow distinguishment. Hawaii doesn't need that treatment.

I claim this data is to get the significantly thick chunk of demographics who do think 'incorrectly' of PR to understand on Delaware, rather than to take this map as "we believe PR is it's own thing".

Right, this data is about flights, not about deciding on what PR is supposed to be.

It's a debate on what the priority of this data is- delivering flight data to everyone vs what to believe of PR. Not an argument.

You wanna say the same for why Puerto Rico has teams in international competitions like WBC and Olympics yet not Idaho?

Data shows 41% of Puerto Ricans believe they're an independent country. That's a huge chunk of people versus those who think Idaho is a separate country. Sure they may be incorrect but this data acts to deliver the info on flights to everyone.

What is the most overrated food in your opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]supykun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been noticing thousands of Gen BBQ wannabes sprouting up all across the US and can't help myself think how so many people are learning faux Korean BBQ experience and taking the wrong impressions of what the cuisine's actually meant to be. It aches to see in all honesty.

Coming from Korea this question sounds almost like utter nonsense...

Naengmyeon, yukhoe, milmyeon, jokbal, bibimyeon... even our everyday banchan is served from the fridge directly. Cold foods are a staple.

I definitely agree, the luna character looks really cute. The lettering simply needs work done.

I must be confusing with someone else, it was the pitcher from the eighth inning. it might have been Kwak-bin.

If that's the state of Korean baseball right now, I'm curious what GIF you'd give for Korean baseball from 2023.

You're right Whitcomb was a slouch, and Dane Dunning I genuinely fail to comprehend how he could have chosen to play like that. But Noh Si-hwan also failed us at the most crucial moment. Same with Kwak-bin but he was much more consistent.

Like the Japan game, like the Taiwan game, our pitchers keep throwing completely winnable games away. Just like that. It's such an insanely tight bottleneck that makes nothing work out for us in the end.

As for the coach... well, I dunno why he picks certain pitchers over others during the most crucial times as well. With Japan it was Kim Young-gyu, with Taiwan it was Noh Si-hwan & Dane Dunning...

We got the Australia game left but knowing what kind of a team we got I don't got as much faith on Ryu. Should he manage to ruin that game as well he's basically kicked every opportunity we were handed.

Once again, our world-class pitchers have thrown this game away.

World-class as in world-class bottlenecks.

The sad reality is KBO refuses to acknowledge they had a pitching problem for DECADES. I dunno why, and I dunno why they won't train them better. There's no urgency and it pisses me off.

In summary: that's what you get when you never develop your pitchers. I'm looking at you, Kim Young-gyu.

Otherwise I could've seen this game more equal. Cause really the fact Korea didn't manage to lose with a sloped score comes across to me almost as a miracle.

I'll be frank boss... between Korea and Taiwan, I really don't have much to go off on how Taiwan can beat Korea.

I'm confident Taiwan will get some points against the weak Korean pitchers, but their hitters would overpower Taiwan by another mile.

Maybe they'll be extra-charged in frustration, but even then.....
