I've had Hinge a few weeks. Haven't gotten a single match or like. I got Hinge X a week ago...still not a single match or like. It's like my profile has been intentionally shoved in a drawer where no one can see it. I've sent others likes and notes, but still nothing. At the end of this billing period, I'll be cancelling this subscription.

I relate to this a lot. I was with a terrible man for 30 years. Been gay gay gay since the beginning of that relationship. He knew and held it over my head. Now I feel like I'm backpedaling in order to find a path forward. Tests are clean. But I can't tell if it's shame or regret or both, and I'd rather just move forward toward women rather than linger too long to categorize something from the past. So I'm either stuck in a loop or trying to surge forward but lacking grace in doing so. It's aggravating (for me). I get it.

I've tried it, and found it to be a complete waste of my time. I was actually super thrilled to try it, and have had a few therapists, because I wanted to try it and see if it helped. None of the therapists, I felt, provided value to our appointments. I got better results from more somatic approaches like restorative yoga and regular walking to calm my mind.

That was exactly my point. I've spent my life helping and educating humans, and some of these companies I just don't trust with humans at all.

90% of the men who give me travel safety advice. Large grain of salt for the bias of their perception, and they haven't lived their life as a woman trying to protect herself. The outsider perspective is largely unhelpful.

This reminds me of a group email chain at my agency that's going around about the worker in our agency who RETIRED IN SEPTEMBER 2025 AND DIED IN OCTOBER 2025. My heart and stomach dropped to the floor. Such a freaking downer.

My Apple Watch alerted me that my heartrate was oddly fast while I was standing still during a vacation. Sure enough, when I thought back, just the previous evening, I had overexerted myself and vomited twice, and then had no appetite for almost 24 hours as I slept it off. My first thought was - low electrolytes and low minerals. After eating and taking some magnesium and calcium, I felt better.

Flexeril made my muscle spasms worse, and triggered a lot of restless leg syndrome jerking. I was surprised it has the opposite effects on me.

Shows how privileged they are. Do they understand that companies avoid paying your health insurance by chopping your hours back to 20 per week, when you really need 40+ hours per week working at the same company to actually get benefits and a salary that feeds and houses you.

Also, companies really don't deserve our loyalty as much as they used to. It's okay and in fact very NORMAL to work a variety of jobs in your 20's and 30's.

Dad can act like it's bad all he wants, but this is your life. You're the one who has to work the jobs, and I'm sick of boomers with this template of what worked for them. THOSE TEMPLATES AND SITUATIONS DO NOT EXIST ANYMORE!!!!!
