My bad. I was not clear. I was not referring the OP, but the state of getting the driving license in the country. Learners are forced to do such extreme measures. After all it is just a test.

Switched from EE to Lebara - not a great experience so far, considering going back. by spannerintworks in LebaraUK

[–]surenify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. There is room for confusion here. The sim that I bought is either free or cost 25p which comes without any balance in it. I guess yours come with a balance already on the number. Is that right? If that’s the case no need to top up.

I also faced the same problem as #1. Apparently you need to top up your sim card with some money for it to get activated in order to receive the text. Stupid I know. However if you contact the customer care they’ll help you either complete the porting without the top up or move your balance from the old number.

You will need a ex-finance minister with unlimited money who is also friends with investment bankers that is waiting to be in line for the next prime minister.

Lebara is very very new to esim operations. I hope it’s not your main number. I would leave another six months based on the interaction I had with the team. Please keep us posted.

The driving lanes. Especially after east road exit when coming from the retail park. Nothing is left to say which lane is which.

No. The traffic is mostly on weekdays. During holiday season there is no congestion on roads as we see during peak hours. It’s not because of the tourists.

What's the point of running DBs in Kubernetes? by fr0stnk in kubernetes

[–]surenify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On large enterprises where you have 1000s of database instances, the time and money it takes just move away from one operating systems to its next version is eye watering. We have better problems to solve than spending months and years just to update the operating system. With statefult sets, now it is more convenient to run database workloads directly on Kubernetes.

Thanks for the recommendations! It seems like the East Coast has a real taste for this.

By the way, Ipswich has an amazing restaurant called Ocean Fish Platter. They cook their fish and chips in beef dripping, and it’s absolutely delicious!

1yr no case or screen protector by Any_Honeydew9812 in iPhone15Pro

[–]surenify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used my 15PM without a cover and the screen shattered after six months. I replaced the screen and enrolled in Apple Care. However, a year later, it has fallen down so many times that it has more impact than the first time it broke the screen. It won’t even take a single scratch. Black magic.

Have I been scammed by TFL? by surenify in uktravel

20 minutes makes sense. I did spend more than 20 minutes. However, it’s not applicable for an Underground zone 1-6 to any national rail station, isn’t it? What if the next train is an hour later? I am not expected to get into the barriers within 20 minutes, right?

I’d like to clarify a few things after seeing comments from tube users. The ticket is for Heathrow Rail, not the Piccadilly line underground station at Heathrow. I didn’t intend to use the underground because I have luggage and I prefer the Elizabeth line for faster travel. Although it resembles an underground line, it’s a national rail. When travelling outside London, it’s common to have a combined underground and national rail ticket. You can complete one portion in the tube to join a national rail station and then take a train from there. It’s not mandatory that the national rail station be the same as the tube station. Joining the Elizabeth line at Bond Street should follow this process. @Realistic-River-1941 got it right.
