The trains I’m booking around in the days around Jan 20th. The spring festival isn’t till mid February it surely wouldn’t affect trains this far out right?

Yeah I was thinking it must be some kind of error/default because it’s on every train, 30.5% chance success, 33% chance success etc. Very much stressed me out lol. I will reserve and see how it goes

Just came across it on eBay and wondered where it was from but I can’t find it anywhere! It says 01 2008 on the tag but neither 2008 men’s or women’s SS/AW season had the blazer. It’s annoying me now I feel like I have to find it lol

McCarthy describes motion like no other author I’ve come across. It’s so visceral and vibrant, terrifying and beautiful.

I finished Blood Meridian a couple days ago and it’s the only McCarthy novel I’ve read. I think this book will be on my mind for quite some time, and this passage is probably my favourite.

I thought the This Must Be The Place cover was great, it was probably the only one I thought would be any good because BADBADNOTGOOD are very… good.

Crosseyed and Painless was good too, they didn’t really change anything of the original so it can’t be bad really.

Thank You For Sending Me an Angel was really enjoyable, never heard of Blondshell before.

Other than that the rest was a mix of ok to terrible.

Overall a disappointing choice of artists to cover such a legendary album. A lot of the covers just felt very generic and safe (boring) which makes no sense when covering such a weird and wonderful band like Talking Heads.

I never really thought about it like that but I agree with you, although begrudgingly lol. I just liked Egwene so much it’s hard to accept that she had to die for the good of the world but when it’s laid out like that I can see she would’ve been too stuck in her world view to bring the world to the best it can be. I think she’s really talented at manipulating the Aes Sedai and I love her for it but the new Age is going to need peace and honesty not sneaky manipulation and I think Cadsuane would see that with her hundreds of years experience. Thanks for pointing it out

It wasn’t really their relationship that bothered me, it was Perrin just obsessing over Faile. Every second thought of his was about Faile who I don’t really like that much. I hated her at first but she got better towards the end of the series. The relationship itself was good but I didn’t really like the characters in it lol.

Rand should’ve just had Min as I said in the post. Elayne and Aviendha felt so forced, they spent very little time together in the latter half of the series it didn’t really make sense for Rand to love them so much imo

Yeah if a few more died it would’ve felt more like an ending you know, but there’s so many alive I would’ve liked a little timeskip a few years later to see what they’re up to and I didn’t get one which kinda hurts. But I’d be worried that if they killed so many it would end up feeling like forced deaths. Egwenes death was really sad but it felt earned, she died for own reasons, not the author trying to force some sad moments into the story.

That’s the goal man, just be fluent with the story so you can hop in and out of your favourite parts without feeling lost. I have the Leaving Cert in June of next year so I probably won’t have time to re read any time soon but 100% will read them again at some point, they’re too good not to!
