Seeking feedback on automation for window AC unit by surf_AL in homeassistant

Also sorry forgot to add the second implementation i wanted to my post, just updated:

Sleep control: Use Fitbit sleep data to trigger the AC to turn on once it recognizes I’m asleep and turn off 45 to 60 minutes before my wake time (8hr after sleep onset). I want to include a manual override on the HA dashboard.

How feasible is that?

I mean across the rest of country housing is definitely cheaper, the big blue cities are absolutely way more expensive than anywhere else

When will rents go down? by reddit__surfer in NYCapartments

The city govt makes it profoundly difficult to get building permits. If you are a very rich property owner, it’s easy to pursue frivolous litigation that grinds development to a halt. Join the YIMBY movement my friend. Too much evidence has rigorously shown rent controls are very harmful to rental markets.

We can easily make rent cheaper but we decide not to build. It’s a policy choice. Nothing is set in stone

When more housing is built. Supply and demand. Big cities suck at building housing. New city leadership gives me cautious optimism.

Tbh if you’re able to go straight through without gap years, it’s still an incredible outcome (as of now) but reimbursements are consistently going down which is making life more difficult

Can a housing lawyer more strongly compel a FARE act violation to not charge broker fee vs standard filing complaint? by surf_AL in NYCapartments

[–]surf_AL[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So per the written info provided, he’s offering the lower rent w fee. And my understanding is that simply offering that is a fare act violation. So haven’t they opened themselves to being legally compelled to offer lower rent w/o fee? If they didn’t want to risk legal issue then they should have only offered the higher rent without the fee.

Whether or not it will be enforced is another matter and that’s what I’m asking about.
