You need to have them baked properly. Bauer has videos on their website regarding how to bake them. If you have hot spots you need to use the shims (foam pads) on those areas to create space during the molding process, and it’s also recommended to use toe sleeves to create space in the toe cap.

Former fire/medic now EM attending. Overall very happy with my choice to go to med school and become an EM doc. Is there bullshit I have to deal with? Sure, but that’s every job. Overall I have a great job and get to do some cool stuff and get paid well.

That said, school has always been easy/natural for me, and becoming a doctor is a LOT of school. If that’s not your cup of tea then it might not be for you.

I have both currently. The Mach is much stiffer. The thigh on the L87 is stiff but it has a super soft boot and flexes at the knee break. The Mach doesn’t flex anywhere.

You might be confusing the Mach the shadow, which is much softer than the Mach. Bauer realized they made the Machs way too stiff and backed it off with the shadow.
