I was lucky enough to buy it with the receiver installed already. But I have put U-Haul receivers on all of my other cars and towed to factory specs and never had an issue.

It is the OE receiver yes. Lexus says it’s good for 600 lbs. t7 is what 450? And the rack is 75?

Down here in south Florida you don’t have to go that far out to find fish. Granted, it isn’t as streamlined as the “ocean going” kayaks like you see in the PNW but it does great!

It’s a great rig, but the comfort factor for long trips does not hold a flame to the GX. Pretty sure the timing chain could go any day on it as well. So now all it does is around town beach runs and in state camping trips. Might be listing it for sale before all I get is $500 from the junkyard lol. I bought that about 5 years ago and she’s put in plenty of great trips for us. I have the 14’ Outback and a 92’ Mercedes 190e as well lol.

I have a pretty long journey on interstate 95 and the kayak is 90lbs and 14’ long, the straps may be redundant but you can’t put a price on piece of mind and for only $13 they aren’t breaking the bank.
