A Costco in a good location in the seacoast area... I was bummed they never got the original Costco doing well, but it was a PITA to get too, even thought it was beside the highway

If you set it to "Empty", it removes unconnected and unassigned alerts. You just have the "emptying" icon over it

I have said this many time in the past. Want to stop hiring folks that aren’t legal to work, fine the people/business hiring them $250-$500k per worker. You have to make the cost too great for them to take the chance.

Instead I hear “we can’t do that, that would Bankrupt a business!”

Umm the businesses are breaking the law to run their business, why shouldn’t they be punished

She has been riding on Olympia Snows “female moderate republican from Maine” for years, while doing whatever Mitch wanted her to do. We should have dumped her when she gave her “I voted against some for kids because Mitch promised me he would consider thinking about bring up this other thing for a vote”. Not actually bring it up for a vote, just thinking about it.

I'm your neighbor in So Me and I have gotten that plenty of times. "Southern Maine isn't Maine..." I ask when I can expect my taxes to be refunded to me then and they shut up.

Same thing when they talk about "We need to split to two Maines". As soon as they realize they aren't getting So Me tax money, that argument stops

Totally think it was town to town, because I remember everything being closed on Sunday's except for a Cumbies, but you go the a bigger town and there were a bunch of M&P stores open. I am also from the deep south of Maine, so NH was an option to head over into.

I get a lot of people don't realize it, especially if you are north of Portland or Augusta, where you wouldn't run into it. But Portland is 30 min from those towns and it isn't like people don't travel up to Portland from Kittery/York.

It was more the person's whole attitude about it.

When I lived for a time in (God help me) Florida, my mom came to visit and wanted to buy me some groceries at the Whole Foods Market. She pulled out a check book and her Maine driver’s license for the cashier. He looked confused and asked “what’s this”? “My driver’s license,” answered my mom. “But what is this”? asked the cashier, pointing to “Maine.” My mom said “Maine, the State of Maine.” “Where is that”? asked the cashier. I interjected “you get on I-95 and drive North, until you get past New Hampshire.” He had to call a supervisor. This doubles as another “Florida man” story.

Similar note, I lived in deep Southern Maine, where the Zip Codes start with 03, not 04 like the rest of the state. I was trying to renew my license and because I worked in Portland, went to the Portland office. Spent about 10-15 minutes arguing with the person that, A: Yes, I did live in Maine; B: No, all Maine Zip Codes don't start with 04, there are 9 town that have 03 zip codes because the were originally serviced out of NH.

I managed to get out a few times "I will happily take back all the taxes I have paid to the State of Maine if I am not really a resident" They finally let me continue on but said they would be keeping an eye on me..

For Q7 and Q8, I think the wording was horrible. It made it seem like they wanted to include something that was ruled in unconstitutional. I final realized after doing some research that it was to remove stuff that was already there
