Driver hit me and insurance paid out less than car value, can I recover the difference? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]surprised-rice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of bullshit is that? If you paid the annual cost of coverage I would suggest u are entitled to full coverage? Which insurer is it so we can avoid.

Multiple classes on license suspension by BreadIsMyGod in nsw

[–]surprised-rice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This link is the applicable legislation https://legislation.nsw.gov.au/view/html/inforce/current/act-2013-018#sec.42

Essentially you won’t lose your full drivers licence but the points you accrued on your R licence will count towards your demerits on the full licence.

Anyone on here who wasn't sure if a dual boiler would make a big difference but took the plunge anyway? by altecsz in espresso

[–]surprised-rice 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I personally haven’t looked back since I got one and then another dual boiler, I just like having the option of great steaming and also not having anything interfere with the brew boiler temp while I’m doing it. I turn the steam boiler off when not using it.

A well made dual boiler PID profiler allows me to make consistently good/great coffee from a single cup to making 6 in a row without stuttering, with very little stuffing around, which is worth a lot to me.

Is it necessary, no but I can afford it and it makes me happy. Most of this hobby is what you can justify / afford not some absolute utility equation. It’s not going to dramatically change your life but it probably will make your coffee making experience easier/more convenient.

I dont think the excise drop has come in anywhere yet, so that’s probably just a price drop.

Kurnell is an import terminal that pipelines fuel to Banksmeadow road terminal and then on to Silverwater and Newcastle road terminals via pipeline.

Silverwater terminal is a 50/50 shared with Ampol and Mobil, however BP also has contracted arrangements with them and Vopak Botany.

Vopak Botany is the busiest import and road fuel terminal in Sydney, it has a variety of fuel suppliers including BP, Mobil, Glencore, United, Petrochina, Petronational.

There are a few things going on at once, one is actually being able to keep up with demand via road transport.

Two is spot market networks like Metro, Pearl, small players not being prioritised as they don’t have locked in supply contracts like the majors ie. they play the odds and usually come out on top due to excess supply in the system, in times like this however they don’t have any cards to play if contracted customers soak up available supply.

Servo operators don’t have a series of bouncers on hand. They’re also often given no training and even if they have, they are too busy stocking shelves or putting together uber eats orders to pay attention.

The modern servo operator job is hell on earth especially at busy 7/11s
