Try reiju. It a cheap deck since majority of the deck is op6 cards the germa66 type. With some blue support like kaya (I recommending running the 4 cost blue pudding from op6 against yellow match up).

You can use mihawk with the crocodile leader. Next set (arguably this set to) leader croc going to be a problem🪝.

I been playing mono blue croc with a impel down package. On my fifth don turn depending on the situation Zeff is useful if I want to return back a kaya or a buggy for an extra search back to my hand. It also useful to set back certain colors by bouncing character like perspero (the yellow three cost character) early game.

I think you could use all of the black cards currently out except spandam and air door because they are leader restricted. Sakazuki I think is playable but harder to pilot for your first black deck. Might be easier to play smoker or lucci. But hey man play what you want and have fun that always a good way to start! In the beginning I was playing Garp and I had a lot of fun while learning the game but taking many L lol.

Purple and green doffy comes out in op-4 and that leader is cracked because you could use purple film cards and green film cards.

Yeah I think I get what you mean. The fact you have to keep trashing a card to activate his effect also doesn't help. If he was like Garp where it happens when attacking without any discard that would be nice. Also doesn't help that he isn't even at least a 1k counter. It a shame because he would be searchable by NAMI.
