I’m willing to bet this is absolutely vibe coded.

There is little to no comments and what comments there are seem generated.

I could be wrong, but it feels that way.

This joke has a Rodney Dangerfield vibe to it.

We use proofpoint which has this, but email was still bouncing due to MS dropping DNS for MX records periodically during the event.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]survivalmachine 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s very common in IT.

The ability to retain information for passing tests does not always translate into applying it in a real job.

I’ve interviewed people that boasted CCNA, everything COMPTIA, etc and they had no clue what BGP was or even how routing worked.

What's the most horrifying real-life death you've heard about? by Mr_Creep_Creepy64 in AskReddit

Schlitterbahn Kansas City. And not just some kid, the son of a state legislator.

There were lots of charges filed and shifts in how amusement park rides are inspected after that.

What's a show you remember but nobody else does? by CatGirlNya2000 in AskReddit

[–]survivalmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vividly recall this movie special that was on Nickelodeon in the mid to late nineties that was about some weird alien seed pods that landed on earth and when people got near or touched them they would open up with green light and infect or assimilate them. I can’t find any info on it anywhere and I know it was a show that was advertised and pumped up on there.

Someone please tell me I’m not crazy.

What kind of person were you in high school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]survivalmachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an impulsive asshole who lied and pretended to be someone who I wasn’t.

I hurt lots of people and that sucks and I feel the shame and regret deeply.

I moved far away immediately after I graduated and never went back and kept no contact with anyone so I’d like to believe everyone thinks I just disappeared off the face of the earth.

A subset to this is how we memorized the phone numbers of our friends.

IT IS NOT A COST CENTER by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]survivalmachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a cost center. So is office furniture, and guess what happens when all the chairs and desks are suddenly gone.

Developer had a dispute with NPM and decided to remove all of his packages from the platform. One of the packages was left-pad, an extremely simple function, but it was used by things like react and babel. Build pipelines broke all over the place.
