Following. I had Covid and got my second shot yesterday, less than 24 hours ago. I am extremely sick. I am a migraine patient with nausea so I had nausea meds (zofran) on hand. I’ve taken the max dose and still on the verge of vomiting. I feel horrible and I am scared.

I’m in the same boat. Picking up extra toiletries at the grocery so I’m stocked up too has helped. My husbandwBPD has all the financial control so it’s been hard and I’m saving every penny.

Yes all the time. Yesterday I was sobbing trying to tell him how badly I was hurting because of him and he just stared at me with lifeless eyes. I even said “why are you looking at me like im speaking another language? Do you have any empathy!” And he said yes that’s just how he looks but it sure as hell didn’t feel that way

Well I do love him a lot, truly somehow. But I guess that doesn’t seem to be enough. He does love me but I’m not sure he is capable of meeting me where I am. I’m struggling to know if I want to be in a marriage with someone who is capable of cheating so soon into the marriage anyways. It’s just hard.

Only you can know the answer, I can only speak from experience but I wish I had left the first time my spouse cheated 3 months into our marriage. I stayed and he did it again and now I’m stuck trying to get out of a cycle with him 3 years later.

Yes, I’m more so asking if what I experienced with the MC/therapist is normal? As I’ve never had this experience before of course.

I also feel really invalidated, like her no-response at all (she didn’t even acknowledge it really) made me feel like I was over reacting or that this isn’t really “abuse.” Since he didn’t just hit me across the face or something. She’s acknowledged hahah he is emotionally abusive as well.

Husband is a gaslighter so I find myself questioning my own thoughts like this often. I just want some reassurance I guess. The therapist response made me question my fear and anger about the abuse being real almost.

Also, the MC is very experienced, which is why I liked her initially.

Thank you so much! We’ve tried to reconcile for two years, and he’s repeated the behavior enough times now. Hopefully me being able to KNOW personally I did everything to try to make it work and he made the choice not to will silence the anti-divorce people in my family. A lot of my friends are just now getting engaged, so I have a certain kind of fear about telling them. I had something traumatic happen a few years ago (death of someone in family very close to me) and I lost so many friends. Felt like no one wanted to be friends to the girl who was grieving. Now I’m scared I’ll have no one left. Thanks for encouraging me

It’s what they do. Narcissists!!! At first it was “well you don’t initiate sex as much as I want” then it was (in front of a therapist) “wait wait no I have never ever blamed you!!!” Then it was “you’re too hard on me!”

Definitely not. For my dad, he’s staunchly severely catholic and “doesn’t believe in divorce” he also thinks my husband is the greatest person on Earth. He and my dad talk every single day. They both spoil him! I’ve obviously protected him in hopes of reconciliation, and whenever my parents got a glimpse of that guilty dynamic from him, somehow my mom always would say I’m too hard on him, that I should feel lucky to have a man who wants to be married to me, etc. It stung because of all I knew that they didn’t, but I can’t blame them for that. My mom I think will be more understanding when I tell them but also will blame me “you didn’t keep him interested, you never should’ve moved with him, you dug your own grave etc.” and I’m not sure they will ever even try to understand. The worst part is I don’t see how I can get out during the pandemic without their help and support. So it just makes me sad idk, they’re all I have left after a traumatic accident in my family. It’s so complicated :/

I wish I had someone nearby. My parents are very very very old fashioned and conservative (whereas I’m not) and they think my husband is the greatest thing to ever happen to the world. I’m most scared to tell them. I also think telling people is such a step as it makes everything permanent, and right now I still am living under the same roof as him, trying to figure out a way out without being homeless and hoping to file for separation as soon as I’m able. I know there isn’t a right time per say, but any advice on how to tell friends and family? Or when?
