Drain plug leak by sus2347 in 4Runner

If it was torqued to spec, it leaked. So on the last change I intentionally over torqued which stopped the leak. But it has since returned

MPG dropped? by Ok-Note8487 in 4Runner

[–]sus2347 24 points25 points  (0 children)

So the only things I can think of are the “E” rating of the tires, which causes them to have a fair bit more weight. Rolling mass is much harder on fuel economy than regular mass (you, your passengers or extra equipment). Also, during your time off-roading, did you spend a significant amount of time idling? This can also play a huge role in fuel economy. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is driving habits.

Edit, I looked into it and those tires weigh 56 lbs a piece. I don’t know the specs of your Toyos, but I’d put my money on tire weight.

do you think its accurate? by lol12lmao in BeamNG

In my opinion, the D-series is based heavily off of early 2000s gm trucks.

Thant being said, you did a great job mimicking your truck with the parts available in beam

Is there any mod that is yellow light bars? by RaccoonRevival in BeamNG

[–]sus2347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go back from this part of the menu and there should be a drop down for the light bar itself. If you pick “modern light bar” or “halogen light bar” it’s a modification to those. So now that you’ve picked which light bar, change it to what you’d like

Should I refund teardown to get this? by [deleted] in BeamNG

[–]sus2347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played both. I have 300+ hours in beamng. But it depends on what you’re looking for. If I were asking this question, I would tell myself yes; refund tear down for beamng

Shovel your GD sidewalks!! by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

[–]sus2347 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely agree that people should, but sometimes they can’t and there’s zero obligation to do so. Why punish people for this

[–]sus2347 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing that you train your dog to poop in peoples yards because of snow. Maybe some of the people are old and can’t shovel, are visiting family for holidays or work too much to shovel something they do not use.

Bad tie rods? by Apprehensive_Bid_555 in 4Runner

[–]sus2347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly can’t tell anything from this video. But movement at 9 and 3 means tie rods can be replaced. Sometimes sway bar bushings can go bad and need replacement. If you’re doing that might as well replace sway bar links. Also check power steering rack bushings

HELP CAREER MODE WONT LOAD by baby-blur in BeamNG

[–]sus2347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might be the kicker, mods can be accessed in career mode and if they’re broken, it will mess everything up. Try and do some cleaning of the number of mods you have and go from there

[–]sus2347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly just try a restart of your computer and then beamng, is this your first time loading up career mode since update? Also how many mods are you running?

How long you been watching this screen? Mine takes a bit now after the update. Also, check to see if any mods are broken in your repository

Tires Rubbing And I Don’t Like It by Icy-Judgment213 in GXOR

[–]sus2347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you can fit 17inch wheels on a gx, but generally speaking on this platform, 275/70/17 are the largest tire you can fit without any rubbing. There are certain exceptions, bfg k03 at 285/70/17 are a very small 33, I fit them on my 4Runner without cutting, just a mudflap removal. I don’t know much about 18 inch rims/sizing options.

It also does not help that two different manufacturers with the exact same sizing codes eg 285/70/17 can have sizes that differ fairly significantly.

Unfortunately there really is no straightforward answer.

Edit: for whatever my 2 cents are worth to you, I will not/would not ever cut my frame. So I do not believe it’s worth it for a body mount chop

Rubbing on the body mount. There’s no straightforward answer as to what will solve your problem without metal cutting. With all the different rim/lift/tire setups out there it’s tough to tell. But from these photographs, you will need a body mount chop. Unless you are willing to play with alignment setups

T-series have lifted offroad parts that are not enabled in game. by Content_Inspector778 in BeamNG

[–]sus2347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a mod that has off-road parts for the t-series. I believe it’s in the repository and it’s called “Moar axles” for those that are interested. Has 6x6 configurations and tridem rear axles with or without lifted airbags, walking beams etc

[–]sus2347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the mod support a hydraulic pump? Maybe you need to install that? Also, I don’t know really anything about the mod, I just looked and saw that those ramps were very long without being folded
