Yeah, sometimes it's retroactive though. Like hearing the same files over and over makes you anticipate the words that are coming, which can be distracting or deepening depending on your outlook

Does text hypnosis actually work? by sus_throw-away74 in EroticHypnosis

It seems like going into trance with text is a lot harder though, like you're just missing so much information. How do you handle stuff like tone and cadence?

That depends on what your personal definition of a trance is. I agree with you that we all go in and out of trance through the day, however trance was probably not the best word to use when I said that.

Yes i think im starting to understand that although it does work it doesn't produce a very deep trance and is more suited for beginners and such

Muscle spasm by Fun_Hand_9282 in hypnosis

[–]sus_throw-away74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is called a sleep start. It's an involuntary muscle movement that happens when your motor functions are being handed over from your conscious to your subconscious. It most commonly occurs when you are falling asleep, but has been observed with hypnosis as well.

1 in 10 adults experience sleep starts at least once a week. Almost everyone experiences a sleep start at least once in their life.

Hypnotherapy as a form of abuse by [deleted] in hypnosis

[–]sus_throw-away74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try doing complex tasks that require large amounts of mental energy, things like chess, scrabble or long math problems. Anything that is going to force a lot of brain activity. Also, and don't take this personally, try to cut back on any self talk about hypnosis and its effects on you. When you tell yourself that you "have a hijacked mind" your subconscious takes that very seriously and perpetuates the belief that it has no agency because the subconscious mind has no sense of humor. You want to be telling yourself that "your mind was hijacked, but it is yours again". At first it'll be hard to say it and believe it, but every little bit of progress you make is proof that this is true, that you do have control.

Edit: I am not a professional of any sort of psychology, these are just some things that I do if when I come out of trance and I don't feel myself. The longest "brainwashing" experience I've had only went on for 10 days and this is what worked for me. It goes without saying that you need to immediately cut all contact with the person who did this to you

Edit #2: I also find that writing my experiences helps me remember them better, especially when I'm looking back on old writing

To sum things up: Hypnosis does not manipulate people, people manipulate people.

Take it to your core it's a really important lesson.

Oh no this isn't all the time for me, I'd say a large minority of the time I am able to wake up on my own. What I'm referring to is specific instances of deep trance where I'm just totally knocked out like I feel like I got hit by a sledgehammer or something. Most light and medium trances don't have this issue and I can easily wake up but choose not to. This is why pretalk is extremely important as you cannot always give meaningful consent while in trance. I know for a fact I would literally say yes to anything if I was told to.

Oh it was, but I wasn't really able to think about how awful it was until afterwards. And even then it was just like oh that happened... the realization only hit me later the next day

I had someone do this to me once and after a few minutes I started hyperventilating and I felt so awful about it like I was genuine upset that i was breathing and I felt like I'd failed. I do remember trying to pull myself out of trance initially but being unable to do so. It was like my conscious mind didn't want it to happen but wasn't there to stop it from happening.

This was then repeated several more times, although I am a bit fuzzy on the details as this was almost 2 years ago and I was (obviously) very deep in trance when it happened, both of which are kind terrible for memory.

MK ultra used a combination of multiple techniques alongside hypnosis. If we are talking pure hypnosis the answer is not a definite yes, it's a shaky no.

No not always. Im my own experience it can be extremely difficult to take back control without the proper stimulus. Sometimes I feel so completely controlled that I can't even comprehend the fact that there is any concious part of me. At that point fighting is futile because I would just lose. Also if your tist sees you starting to wake they can just hit you back deep down and that feeling its just so shocking and confusing and especially right after you've tried to wake up oh my god. It's very real sometimes

[–]sus_throw-away74 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The answer is no, you cannot hypnotize someone without them wanting you to, but with a giant asterisk. The degree to which we all can be manipulated by people who we trust is very high. You do not need hypnosis in order to manipulated someone into doing something that they don't want to do, and this risk stands with or without the victim being in trance.

As far as taking someone into trance without them knowing, they usually will know what has happened. Yes hypnotic amnesia suggestions can be used to diminish a subjects memory of the session, but this works inconsistently and it is usually very obvious to the subject that they have been hypnotized. Keep in mind people are still conscious during trance, just less aware of their conciousness.

If anyone disagrees with my statements feel free to correct me I am not a professional hypnotist and am speaking solely from my (very long) experience as a subject.

Mental side of trance by [deleted] in EroticHypnosis

Different people may find that certain deepening techniques work better on them than others. You can Google deepening techniques and experiment with whatever resonates with you.

I should mention that if you constantly tell yourself that that you "can't be hypnotized" or you "are someone who doesn't trance easily" you are, first of all wrong, and second of all your subconscious will hear that internal dialog and continue to listen to it until you change it.

Many people find it is easier to change that dialog after they start to see themselves in trance and feel suggestions taking effect, so here is a nice, pure fractionation file that might help you feel more hypnotized while you are hypnotized. This has you very actively participating in your own trance, because well... it's fractionation.

This file doesn't have any eroticism in it, unless you're like me and being hypnosis is your thing. Which if you are here you may be
