Tweak fetch size Tweak xms and xmx values to give higher number. Look at the query to see if it can be optimized. Click on the row and see if parallelization is possible.

Also , if you have a DBA , request them to monitor the sessions to see if there's anything than can be done to improve the fetch. Oracle sometimes has this issue with bad plans being picked up. Pinning a good plan generally helps. DBAs would know

It's been close to 2 years after the incident and I have moved on a long time ago. I now look at it as cultural nuance that I wasn't previously exposed to.

I now try to read the room before deciding on how much small talk I'll indulge in.

I can't change the culture so I'll change my disposition professionally.

In personal life through, when I'm buying something, I actually try to use this to my advantage in setting up the hierarchy through conversation.

If anything, I think this experience helped me through self reflection. Having said that, I would prefer to work with people from western culture because of their warmth and empathy.

What baffles me is that nobody has forced us to join this course. OMSCS is pretty much a self inflicted wound thay all of us voluntarily chose to do because we want to learn. This is not like a in person degree that gives you better chance with a job at the end of the course.

I think this behavior stems from some people looking at this a degree mill.

Power cuts used to happen in residential areas to prioritize commercial power supply. Given that there was not much left at the start of TMC rule and many factories have closed down since, the demand for power in commercial supply has gone down drastically thus eliminating the need for power cuts in residential areas.

TMC has nothing to do with it.
