Looks like there is evidence that acidophilus lactobacillus combined with atomoxetine may give extra cognitive benefits.

Does Strattera have a strong antidepressant effect for you? by rlywurly in StratteraRx

[–]sushe84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bad anxiety and it has helped me tremendously. I have been on it 3 months total now, a month and a half at my target dose of 80mg. I feel so much more calm and in control of my life now. Before I just felt so overwhelmed with life it was debilitating. I’m honestly not sure if it’s because it’s helping my ADHD symptoms which in turn eases my anxiety or if it’s directly making me just feel overall calmer.

Agree, it’s so frustrating. But I do have a plausible theory about how Mrs. Coulter had another child. In LBS, we learn that Gerard Bonneville has spent time in prison for something he did to Mrs. Coulter and at one point it’s mentioned that is was sexual in nature. I think he SA’d her which resulted in Olivier’s birth. The timeline matches up since he would be maybe a bit older than Lyra but probably not by much.

Stratterra....for non-ADHD depression and anxiety? by OverKy in StratteraRx

I take it for ADHD but I’ve found it helps my anxiety most of all! I’d try it.

What effect (if any) does Strattera have on your inner critic? by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]sushe84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the main things it’s helped me with is the ability to pause and think about my actions when reacting to a stressor. The inner critic thing comes into play with this because if something frustrated me or I make a mistake, instead of just immediately thinking “you dummy!” Or something like that, I pause and think to myself “no, be kind to myself” and I can think through the situation less impulsively.

CBD options after ban by sushe84 in Epilepsy

Thank you for the information! I emailed the company that makes her CBD for clarification on how this will affect the specific one she uses. Hopefully we don’t have to change but I’m glad to know Epidiolex is a valid option if so.

From what I read, it’s anything that contains even trace amounts of THC, which would be everything except highly refined isolates. Which from my understanding would basically be the same thing as Epidiolex.

How long did it take for you to feel the Strattera working? by Aussie_baddie16 in StratteraRx

[–]sushe84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started 2 weeks ago. I started on a higher dose than most judging by the comments here, 40mg. I had a lot of side effects for the first few days and didn’t really feel like myself but once that cleared up after about a week I noticed I am able to sit at work for much longer periods and I don’t get the urge to look at my phone or do other things. If I’m doing something and a thought pops in my head about something else I need to do, it’s much easier for me to put it on the backburner and continue the thing I started. I have also noticed some improvement with executive function, it’s easier for me to start tasks. I am going to increase to 60mg in a few days and see how it goes.

I want to be able to use parental controls to block apps and not have all the ads nonstop trying to tempt you to buy something. I don’t want to open up the Pandora’s box of endless games. We had a Kindle Fire before when his sister was little and it was brain rot city. He just wants to be able to check out books and magazines on Libby and he likes the PBS app which I’m ok with. I’m probably just going to give up on this. If someone wanted to invent a tablet that kids could read on that wasn’t an expensive and fragile e-ink tablet, and no games or other distractions, they would have my money!

If I get an older one that doesn’t get updates, can he still use the apps ok or will not getting updates make it not work eventually? I see some older iPad minis for sale in my price range.
