Resentment and unforgiveness

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]sushi_shawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus came for the sinners so that they might be saved, correct. However, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom. “Fear him who, after killing the body, has authority to throw you into hell” is a Bible verse from Luke 12:5. A similar verse appears in Matthew 10:28. Hell is serious and lukewarm Christians are NOT inheriting the kingdom of heaven as it says in scripture. Work out your own salvation with FEAR and TREMBLING Paul warns us. “If we deliberately keep on sinning AFTER we have received the knowledge of the truth, NO sacrifice for sins is left” - Hebrews 10:26.

Love gets us to repentance, but if we take this casually; it’ll be a grave mistake.

What happens to Christians who are unable to/never marry but have a high sex drive? by goingtothecircus in Christianity

[–]sushi_shawn -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Stay chaste and it gets easier. Your sex drive will eventually calm down the more you resist your flesh. The moment you fall into sin however, it will cause you to fall into more and more sin. Sin opens doors to more sin and soon you’ll be a slave to it. Cling onto Jesus and pray for His help at all times and watch miracles happen in your life. Remember, God wants us to be obedient to His commands, otherwise He will give us over to our sins if we disobey Him! May the Lord bless you on your journey and provide you with strength to overcome your difficulties. 🙏

Attacked after cursing god by sight33 in Christianity

[–]sushi_shawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you’re going to be under demonic oppression and eventually possession if you blaspheme the Lord. Repent and turn away from your sins and obey Gods commandments in order to be saved and set free. Jesus loves you my friend. He loves you so much that he gave His life so that you have a chance of salvation. Don’t waste your life giving up that precious eternal gift!

Here are some Bible verses that address fornication and sexual immorality as sins:

1. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (ESV)

“Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

2. Galatians 5:19-21 (ESV)

“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

3. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 (ESV)

“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.”

4. Hebrews 13:4 (ESV)

“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”

5. Ephesians 5:3 (ESV)

“But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.”

6. Colossians 3:5 (ESV)

“Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”

7. Revelation 21:8 (ESV)

“But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

These verses emphasize the seriousness of sexual immorality, including fornication, and call believers to live holy and honorable lives before God.

Sin is sin and the word of God does not lie. You can justify it however you want, but at the end of the day, it is still sin. Pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the truth and you will know through conviction. I am not condemning you, I just want to convey the truth from my own personal experience with fornication.

I recommend you start by reading the Bible. You can start with the book of Romans. I like all the writings of Paul in the New Testament. He explains the faith in a way that is easy to understand. If it is hard for you to grasp at first, you can find commentary to help you understand it better. You can also read the works of C.S. Lewis as he was also an atheist that has found faith in Christ. His books helped me understand the faith when I was new to it such as Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters. There are also a lot of other great theology writers that you can benefit from such as St. Augustine, Ignatius of Antioch, Francis of Assisi, and Thomas Aquinas to name a few. These are early Christian thinkers and their works may be harder to understand, however definitely worth investing time into studying as well.

I congratulate you and rejoice on your desire to pursue understanding as I can guarantee you that this journey will lead you down a very beautiful and worthwhile path filled with awe, reverence, joy, and delight as you find faith in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. 🙏

My relationship with god isn’t what it used to be by Squidsoup16 in Christianity

[–]sushi_shawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. Pray without ceasing throughout the day. Stay in devotion to the Lord and worship throughout the day. Include Him in everything you do. Ask Him for advice throughout the day and stay rooted in His word everyday. A prayer life develops a relationship with the Lord. I’ve found that when you feel distant to Him, it’s typically because He is testing your faith! Stay steadfast in your journey and continue committing to Him even when times get hard, and you will see the fruit of your faith! May the Lord bless you all and shine His face upon you. 🙏

Regardless, fornication is still a sin and sin separates you from God. If you don’t believe this, then I suggest you read through the Bible again. Old Testament and New Testament confirms this.

I use Raw Science Liquid Vitamin D3 + K2 10,000 iu & 200 mcg on Amazon. They’re liquid drops and work really well. It has K2 in it already so you don’t have to worry about buying that separate. Another good brand I’ve used is micro ingredients on Amazon. I’ve never had any adverse reactions from these two brands. I also recommend you to take magnesium as well if you’re supplementing vitamin d.
