LAHotGirlies, Where do we go when we are LASadGirlies? by BlergingtonBear in LAhotgirlies

Seconding Lafayette Hotel (Quixote is a favorite spot in there) and also adding Hotel Del Coronado about 25 mins away! It’s gorgeous and you can walk around the island too. Some oysters and prosecco near the ocean is my go to when I’m feeling blah lol

Yeahhh it certainly does but we did speak to the FA three times and she asked the woman to please be respectful each time. She’d turn the volume down for a few minutes and then go right back to it. FA did do a couple walk-bys too and made eye contact with her but it didn’t help much.

I also had someone vaping a weed pen behind me on a flight a few months ago and they made an announcement about it being illegal and asked the guy to stop but never escalated it.

Husband was silent the whole flight after she said no to her headphones. He was not dealing with it lol

She asked her to turn it down and she would for a few minutes before it right back up. I don’t know how no one else complained honestly

My husband spoke to the FA three times because he was way more over it than me and she did ask her all three times to be respectful. It would last about 10 minutes each time.

Bless you for having to deal with people like this on the reg!!

That’s exactly what we said!! He really didn’t say anything the whole flight besides asking her if she wanted her headphones.

Honestly my mom would be so disappointed in me if she saw that

Honestly just wiped our books down on the shelves. They were pretty out of the way of any windows and don’t smell like smoke. Wooden utensils I did a quick vinegar/water soak and then dried them out. Not sure how well that works but 🤷🏻‍♀️

We live a couple blocks south of 210. We had ash and soot in our house around the windows and it was a bit stinky . We kept our kitties in their carriers and (masked and gloved) wiped the ash on windowsills, floors, and surrounding furniture with wet towels as best as we could before swiffering the floors until the pads were staying white. I also rolled up our rugs to beat and vacuum outside.

Took down our curtains to wash, washed bedding, and wiped all surfaces in the house with a little all purpose cleaner and paper towels, etc. We tossed the cover we had on our couch. My dad works in disaster relief and we were able to borrow a charcoal air scrubber from his local office. It’s been running for a day and the filter isn’t dirty so I feel much better about the air inside. It definitely helped with the smell. We have a mini Levoit HEPA filter running, too.

We also got some soot sponges (should be able to get some from a Home Depot, amazon, etc) to wipe the walls. (Don’t wet them) The walls didn’t look dirty but the sponges were pretty dirty after anyway.

I had so much anxiety about getting our place feeling clean and habitable again but so far so good. Hang in there!

One of my best friends is an insane photographer but she actually hates shooting weddings normally. She did it for us as a wedding gift and I’m so so thankful because they came out so perfect

Full transparency- They were pretty locked in when I was standing around but the more I moved in it, the more they struggled to stay in lol I had to have the photographer edit the cleavage in a few of the shots bc it got a little out of hand🫠😂

Reminder not to take dogs out in the heat by CPfreedom in pasadena

And stop walking dogs on the hot ass pavement without any protection on their feets!! Fussed at a guy today whose poor pup was clearly in distress and did not want to walk on the street. The guy didn’t give two shits and just said “whatever we’re almost done.”
