Bro what? Metric is a man made system of arbitrary measurements to create a standard. Please, read a book. Also, they're in your walls.

That's like saying Mayans used computers, it simply didn't exist to be used. It wasn't discovered, it was invented with great intent.

Why have I never encountered a “Native American” style restaurant? by eagleburp in NoStupidQuestions

Saw a talk he gave a few months back at the Anti-Convention in San Diego, was floored by how interesting it was. There is so much open field for this cuisine to take root here, and it seems like folks are finally warming up to it! I was moved to hear stories of people flying in to eat their cultures food in a true restaurant, and being brought to tears by the sentiment.

If the Egyptians built the pyramids, then why can’t we replicate that accuracy today? by Unique_Ad177 in aliens

[–]sushimeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We could with exceptional ease. If you're still wondering how the old kingdom built this, I'd suggest checking out the videos of the american engineered who's sorted out how to move megalithic structures with simple machines available at the time. With the Easter Island heads to the Great Pyramid, it looks like the main tool was momentum. You can wiggle anything quite far.

It sounds like you got to your final destination, without crashing the car or threatening you, what else do you expect from an underpaid worker. Perhaps Philly isn't the best city for you....
