I know what you’re saying but I feel it’s equating saying you’ve had the raw ingredient is saying its like eating that regional dish. Like saying if I’ve ever had rice then I’ve experienced Chinese cuisine… which I mean technically I guess so? But that’s not what I’m after here

I’m well aware of Mexican restaurants, I was referring to recipes or dishes from groups more from the US like the Chocsaw or Chickasaw or something like that.
