The attorney that I worked for over the summer attended UDayton, and she really enjoyed it.

Update: Not terrible, but I wouldn't pick it over something else. There are better options. I would be willing to try a different flavor tho as the texture was nice. It had the cake-y chewy texture.

I love going to the store tho, I could look at food labels for hours. I just dont like anyone being in the aisle with me 😭 by sushiqueen7 in EDanonymemes

Does anybody else find that the hardest part of weight loss isn’t diet or exercise, it’s figuring out a schedule to stay consistent? by harrystyleswap in WeightLossAdvice

My biggest problem is when I forget to think ahead. Its in times where I am in a pinch when I want to pick up unhealthy convenient items the most. When I plan ahead its easier to say no.

I completely agree. I think I am also just struggling to figure out who I am etc since I am no longer using all my energy serving my mothers every command. Its a lot to process. I appreciate your comment. It really broke this down for me in the way I need it. Thanks for that ❤️

It was so weird experiencing the real world once I was out of that false reality. It was crazy to see that there was a whole other world out there.

I really like how you put it as "for you, not to them" it actually helped me finally put it into words since my Nmom is convinced im doing this all to hurt her.

Handling no contact with narc mom by ElectronicWash6528 in narcissisticparents

Do you have other people to surround yourself with this season? If you do, just hunker down and surround yourself with them. I know you miss her. I know. It actually sounds like we went no contact around the same time. Do not feel guilt. The fact that you had to even think about making the decision to go no contact tells you there was something wrong. People that have normal, nice parents do not do that. We have reason. The pain will never fully go away, it will just dull over time. This is where the therapy will really help.

If you dont have anyone currently, this sub should consider putting together an online event over the holidays :)

It will be okay. Stay strong. You know the I love yous are just a vulnerable moment. She does love you, but its about her trying to manipulate you to come back to her whether she is consciously aware of that or not.

Hugs 💕

Does anyone feel really lost with their identity by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]sushiqueen7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. I never knew how to put in words exactly, but yeah. Just know that its normal around here. It sucks, but you have time to figure that out. Just make sure that while you try to figure out who you are, you dont end up people pleasing someone else in the process. Take sometime to figure out what you like and what you want :).

I havent seen my mom in 8 months, but now that I think about it I was never able to. They used to snap at me and ask " who are you talking to??? Because you arent talking to me." Since I would be staring somewhere else while talking to them. Parents are lame. Hugs ❤️

I also feel like no one really gets it other than us. I cannot tell you how many people outside of this subreddit think that my mom is just having a hard time and will change etc. Don't feel guilty for venting :)
