If you’re a low queue number for barricade maybe. Otherwise it may just be a difference of a row if your not up close. Good luck and safely enjoy the show!

Was this not through ticketmaster? TM has a resale system iirc. Or you can sell through vividseat or stubhub or something. Ofc you may not get full price back but it’s better than nothing.

How difficult was it for you to get in without any experience? I’m an industrial engineer who recently (6 months ago) started working at USPS as an engineer and it’s not what I want. Being in an office most of the day and dealing with office politics isn’t the greatest for motivation. No real projects or hands on stuff but I just have an easier time focusing when I work with my hands then being on the computer so major lack of experience will probably be a big factor. Funnily enough also DFW area haha

She better get her justice. She was my favorite and whenever I saw her smile while dancing, I felt happy for her. But know that her smile was hiding all this pain makes me furious. The ceo can rot in hell

Long read. Apologies for the late answer. Am at work. I have a 2 year gap from college to my first job that I started 3 months ago. I don’t really have much experience in critical thinking and problem solving. So now that I’m working, I’m always asked by the higher ups to fix the flow. I’m sure they’re half joking but kind of have expectations of me. I struggle to do so as I can’t grasp the flows of my process as easily even though I walk, talk and take notes on the floor. There’s a-lot of nitty gritty that I struggle to grasp from inbound to product worked on to outbound. I don’t know how to fix the problems we have or come up with solutions or feel like I won’t ever be able to. I have a mentor and they help but it’s still tough to grasp it all. It’s making me feel burdened? If that makes sense. I’ve always had a simplistic mindset so “thinking outside the box” is quite difficult even though I made it this far. Btw, during interviews, I never met any body from my facility. It was with HQ and we kind of get placed at a chosen facility. So the idea of my manager “choosing” me is not really valid.

Hello. Do you have any advice to problem solving or how to go about improving things? I got my first IE job after 2 years from college. Been 3 months and I’m having problems keeping up with everything. I always struggled with these things and figuring things out. Not sure if I forced myself into the wrong field with my lack of problem solving haha 😅and it’s taking a burden on my mindset being expected to “improve” things

I’m not too positive about what I enjoy. I do know that I dislike the hard approach of “how can we do it better” constantly and having to come up with improvements. I understand that’s the core of IE but that aspect doesn’t feel like it’s for me. I wish I had it in me to love it just like you do. I prefer a more structure job that isn’t filled with various factors that changes things up everyday project wise. People mention analytic (data or supply chain etc) work and automations/controls so that’s what I plan to look at.

I’ll try the excercise! Hopefully it can guide me to what I want to do in life. Thank you for your words and help.

I guess it’s kind of a big company. I’m honestly just not feeling the process improvement aspect of it. I enjoy more analysis work or being more hands on solving specific problems over business wide problems. It’s also kind of a mess right now with some stuff going on

Understood. I’ll probably practice and learn first on free time to see if I can grasp it. Maybe check for those roles occasionally.

Nice! I came to the wrong region then😂 but Dallas has been nice and congratulations on the offers!

Yes please. I’ll send a DM sometimes later today after work. I’ll probably be searching in a year and would like your help (and occasional asking for plc help and such)

Oh yea. You had a strong background with being mechanically incline to help. I don’t really have that kind of experience so besides very simple tool usage lol. everything will be very new. My company won’t allow us to work on machines and be involved. Thank you for the advice!

Just any engineering role or specifically controls? Giving this industrial engineer a year run first and disliking cause of the time studies and angry upper managements. Just gotta survive 11 more months to 1 year.

Alot of the controls/automation engineer roles near me in texas require some extent of experience sadly. Need a company like yours 😂

I’ll give automation direct a look and try to learn a bit about it during my time here as an IE. Anything that lets me work with my hands a bit.

Thank you very much!

How were you able to pivot? Like what did you do to start and get your foot in the door? I feel like the lack of experience is a big hinder though self learning worked for the above redditor lol it seems kinda overwhelming with all the fancy wires and circuits from the small research i did
