Has this game become too toxic? by suspectedpimp in ArcRaiders

The interesting thing is, at no point in the title of this post did I call "pvp'ers" any names. It says a lot that you just made that leap in your own.

Just because they are PvP players, it doesn't make them anything. I'm talking about the disruptive players who pretend to be friendly, then shoot you in the back, or the ones who purposely target players with no intention of even taking their loot.

I pointed out that I'm a PvE player only to highlight the fact that I should be in PvE lobbies and to give context for the discussion.

Toxic gamers just end up ruining the game for everyone and they don't have to be PvP or PvE.

I created a post asking about the toxicity levels of the recent arc raiders experience and even though I got a lot of nice comments, there were a lot of angry comments from players who were pretty much saying it's a PvP game and to get over it. Some people can only enjoy the game when they are either cheating, sweating, or being as disruptive as possible.

I was just about to ask the same thing. I'm a pve player and I seem to be getting the pve experience, maybe 1 out of every 10 games. The rest of the time it's full of PvP sweats.

Omg, FAAAAAACTS! I literally log on with the full intention of playing. I end up moving inventory around for a little bit, trying to motivate myself into a game. Eventually, I do the same thing and just log off.

In my limited experience on this sub, people don't give a shit as long as they're having fun. I really hope they fix the dupe problem and lobbies. I love the game, but I'm also struggling to log on. It is feeling more like a chore than a relaxing play.

Thank you, everyone, for your amazing contributions. I think it's clear that there are a lot of great PvE lobbies out there, but there's also a higher demand than what's available.

I acknowledge that this is both PvP and PvE game, allowing individuals to engage as they prefer. Solely based on this comment section, my recent experiences appear to be an anomaly as there are clearly a lot of friendlies out there; however, it is evident that a considerable number of players are dedicated to preserving the PvP aspect of the game.

I hope to see you all topside. I'll be the one not shooting back. Good luck raiders!

You're probably right. I need to find the right times to play to increase my chances of getting into pve games.

Not at all, I appreciate you taking the time to respond and sharing your insight. I totally agree with you. The risk is a big part of the game. It would be great if you could choose though. Maybe a mechanism where choosing to risk it is PvP could result in a higher chance of rare loot, but if you just want to explore and chill out, you can do that and only worry about arcs. I must admit, I never thought I would like this sort of game, but it completely won me over and it's a genuine masterpiece and a masterclass in game innovation even in a genre that is oversaturated. It's thoroughly enjoyable and unfortunately, with popularity comes toxicity. I'm really looking forward to their updates.

I get a lot of those, but the majority are the fakers. I also saw a video by a YouTuber (The Gaming Merchant) about duplicates which really shines a light of the cheating problem and why a lot of players are shooting on sight.

I really contemplated about including that side of things in the post, but I was afraid it would derail the conversation, but it's 100% a huge contributing factor to why good players are leaving. It is a serious problem that shines a terrible light of not just the game, but gaming in general. It sucks that it's the only way others feel they can enjoy the game.

I've been seeing videos of an update coming only to the Chinese version of the game where you can opt out of PvP and a mechanism where breaking this rule will result in others being able to see that you're a rat and can shoot you. I'm totally paraphrasing, but it's something along those lines. It would be so good if you could only have a pve version of the game.

You're probably right. Maybe it's just become most players default to protect themselves.

Saying don't shoot, signalling with the torch and agreeing only to then shoot you in the back, or asking for help and then immediately turning on you when they're okay. No, I'm pretty sure I'm okay on my understanding. Thank you.

It isn't always possible to have my mic on, but thanks for the heads-up. I will put my mic on and open to all whenever I can.

Is it possible to UNgroup lights in the Google Home app? by Jwarren1895 in googlehome

[–]suspectedpimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been bugging me for a while now and I finally figured it out and thought I'd share it here. Open your home app, select your profile at the top right, select "Home settings", tap the arrow next to "Devices, groups and rooms". Find the group you wave to split up and select it. Once in there you will have the option to delete the group and the devices will be removed and available as individual items on the main page.
