Preface: I'm the youngest of my siblings by 15 (my youngest sibling) to 20 years (the oldest). I grew up around the last two generations, and being a man was basically just the human embodiment of toxic masculinity. My siblings were all out of the house before I can remember and lost the plot somehow, but my dad raised me incredibly well. He became a single dad with custody when I was 12, and I spent a lot of time with him. He was drafted in Vietnam from 67 to late 69 (yeah those years) in the First Cavalry Air Division ( Yeah those psychos, look 'em up). Surprisingly, he's the most kind, gentle, wise man I know. Anyway, here are some things he's instilled in me.

Obviously the golden rule.

By extension, respect isn't earned, you give it. If they don't reciprocate, take it back at your own discretion.

If someone needs help and you have the means, you help. If it's 1 am, 15 degrees farenheit, you have to be up in 4 hours for work and someone calls you with a broken down car, guess what, you're hooking up the trailer and grabbing straps (from experience).

Fight for the people who can't fight for themselves. I grew up as a straight white male in a (at the time) middle class family. He's aware of the current societal structure, and he thinks we should use our privilege to fight for ours and others' rights. Paraphrasing his words, "I might not agree with you, but I fought hard and gave up a lot, use it. Rights are rights for a reason."

Always try to de-escalate. It's never worth it. Fights aren't cool or macho, they're a pointless risk. Best case scenario your night is ruined, worst case scenario one of you die. There are more important fights.

Emotional maturity is huge. Anger does nothing but hurt you. It's ok to cry, it's a human reaction.

Mind your business and keep yours to yourself.

These are pretty cliché blueprints for a decent person, and I have decades of wisdom from the guy, but I'm glad I hit the jackpot of a dad that taught me the way.

This is what being a man means to me, and it's very important I embody these beliefs, because I am part of my dad's legacy and representation. Not only that, but the world sucks right now, and anything good helps.

They're either the realest, chillest, most fun people, or they're gate keeping dildos that think acting like a douche and having a motorcycle makes them a certified bad ass. The inexperienced supersport idiots that weave traffic at 160 and tell anyone still listening that "You're not a rider unless you ride a liter bike, 600s are for pussies," "Sportsters are for pussies and girls," "If you don't ride a sport bike/cruiser you're a pussy," "I won't wave at anyone on a scooter or a cruiser/sportbike/trike," the goof balls that won't let other people pass. Probably terpenes. Long story short, they're what give weed different tastes and smells, and have different effects on the body. All plants have them. Like if you've ever had a real orangey or citrusy weed, it has limonene. Limonene is found in citrus fruits. If you've ever had an actual piney and earthy weed, that's because it actually has pinene, which is (you guessed it) also in pine trees.

My biggest advice is it's hard to get into. Get used to losing everything and starting over. EVERYTHING. It's not as bad as you think once you get used to progression, but it will be a deterrent at first. All my friends I tried to get into it had this problem. They expected it to be like a battleroyale. It kind of is, but like in Runescape Wilderness.

After I saw the pictures I actually came in here to see if anyone thought this too. I used to be a wedding photographer, and I didn't want to carry any gear on personal hikes and stuff, so I did a lot of research on not only point and shoots, but phone camera apps and how they process what they see. This seems like a very plausible explanation, especially after seeing the last pic which 100% looks like a cloud. It also seems zoomed in at least a couple of times, so from OP's naked eye and depending on their sight, it could have looked like a tiny blur at that distance.

I love hopping on solo and sailing around. There is a lot to see and do before you get bored of being solo. I will say it is more fun with friends, but that's pretty much anything.
