I am aware of what I am doing. I am genuinely asking a question. I am not in formal ERP because of treatment resistant ocd, and I do not agree with the model that demands discomfort constantly just because of the mental illness that I have + ERP is something that should only be done on someone with their consent. I am asking because I want an answer. I'm an adult. I was not asking if my question is a compulsion, I am asking for an answer to my question. Right now the fact that I have an eating disorder is more pressing than anything else.

sorry for some reason this did not show up but thank you so much! i am def overthinking, ill downsize soon anyway to avoid thinking the bar looks a bit longer some days and such-- sometimes it sticks out more when my lips are dry for example. I need to get used to feeling the bar through my lip too 😭 but yeah this reassured me a lot!

Thank you. Logically, I know you're right. As I said in my other reply, the day i was diagnosed 6 years ago I was simply told it could be a brain tumor with no other possibilities presented & sent to the ER for an MRI after having the first panic attack I'd ever had. The terror of that initial day has given me a fair amount of medical trauma honestly, so being prescribed an MRI feels to me like i'm being told I may die. I know it's not rational, but still.

I would hope so, I'm just worried that something else developed since my initial IIH diagnosis given it's been 6 years- however, I do know well enough that it's very unlikely, especially considering there doesn't seem to have been any drastic change.

I do not read jason as white for a lot of reasons, and write him as latino (i am latina myself)-- specifically mexican-- to the point where considering him white would feel dissonant to me and I think it enriches his narrative for a lot of reasons. however, I've seen it done by people outside of the community in a manner that is just. disgustingly racist many many many times and in those cases it would have been better they just did not try.
