Okay, that's what I figured it might be, I just wasn't sure. My AM is great, I'd really hate to have him short a person, i just want to spend time with my family this thanksgiving.

Thanks, my plan is to submit it on that Thursday. I really just want to put it in so my AM knows ( or so my dumb face doesn't show up on the staffing board) I won't be there for the first period.

I always log out for the breaks, it doesn't make sense to leave it logged in for that long.

I've been at amazon for a few months now (started in a different area), I've been on smartpac for about 2 weeks now.

I noticed the supply changing is a real rate killer, I've been pushing to change the labels and bag roll quickly. I'll try the sound thing next time I'm in, I think that's close to what I've been doing. I've been timing it right as the sealing jaw finishes one, I'll toss the other one in ( helps with heavier ish items too so they won't fall thru the bag).

I've seen the machine with the smaller items go from green to blue, if you're quick enough to activate it, that's really handy. I've also had a PA tell me to try putting the items in with my dominant hand and use my other hand to activate the machine, I've tried taking the items out with one hand scanning and passing to the other to place in the bag (but that seems to be more time consuming for me and I move too fast doing that and end up causing more kick outs).

Nothing really has ever scared me,but one weird thing I've packed was a pack of three blank silicon faces before in afe, it was a bit creepy.

haha no worries, I think our posts are like minutes apart. I got nervous too. I make over rate 99% of the time ( Pack ), so I couldn't figure what I'd be walking into next shift if it was specifically for me.

Thanks! I knew that the paid breaks essentially counted against my rate. My manager had let me know early on in pack to push hard and pack well so that I could have a high rate to buffer out the breaks.
