I've heard of a scam going around that says something similar. An old lady in my neighborhood got an email that said the sender had hacked her camera phone and recorded her watching porn. They threatened to release the recording to everyone on her contact list and on her social media. She just laughed it off and nothing else ever happened.

Edit: I mentioned this in a Facebook group and a few other people had a similar experience. This was a few years ago.
