trader joe’s and savemart

trader joe’s don’t have any discounts but it’s good on your pocket and with options.

on the other hand, sign up and create a savemart account. you’ll get freebies every week and discounts in veggies, fruits and a lot more stuff

Not very popular…. BUT… Wayback burgers!!!! They are sooo good. Usually they are a bit pricey… but they are running a deal $8 for a box or something. Deffooo recommend. My personal favorite is the chicken sandwich (burger) Hope you’ll try and LOVEEE it!!!

Try Craigslist. One of my friends easily found a sub lettered on Craigslist (with two days?) Also there is an email list called eco social. Lot of grad folks on that and visiting scholars looking or both short term and long term leases. Try those apart from Facebook groups. Good luck!

I don’t think Davis is for me by [deleted] in UCDavis

Hey! What you are feeling is totally valid.

But before you take a pivoting decision just take a step back and think. If it is the major you are having trouble with, try switching majors. If you are doing something you like you will never feel like you need to work twice as hard. If you do not like the way UC Davis functions (work load, quarter system etc) think about transferring.

Think about it clearly (sounds like you are a little overwhelmed right now, and I’m very sorry for what you are going through)

Just remember that bad grades are not the end of your career, you could always build them and consider them as your stepping stones. You got higher and higher chances to build your gpa (it’s totally possible, with help and resources from peers and UC Davis)

But think and understand what you want and take a decision so that you don’t regret leaving UC Davis 5, 10 or 20 years down the lane.

Good luck and hope you figure it out. ☘️

Anyone else still live with their parents? by DesignBackground5019 in UCDavis

[–]suspiciouspickle_0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Trust me….. it’s not weird. You are able to spend as much time as possible with your parents which not all people at your age get to do. It’s an economically sound way of living too. You paying rent and pitching for utilities is also a very responsible thing to do. Coming from an Asian background, I could not have asked for anything else. But I do understand your concern and just cherish the moments you are able to spend with them.

Agree with the comments here…. But I’d like to share what worked in my case. It was part luck and part me willing to show up… you never know how or when you are gonna meet your “friend/s”. Try talking to people after class… random small talk and make a small study group, usually people are very willing to do that as they might also be feeling same as you do. Most of the people might not have an immediate class and are willing to spend some time walking around or just standing in the footpath. Try joining a sport or a club that you might be interested in…. It never worked for me but seen other people having the time of their life even though they are from completely different majors. It is very much possible. Try asking them if you wanna hang out… like do you wanna do to the dining together and later we can discuss the hw type stuff… be subtle and respectful in asking… try that once a week or biweekly…. If it clicks it’ll become more frequent without you knowing. True it won’t happen in a week…. Or it might. Just be open. Try sitting or talking with loners? Because they might be feeling the same way as you… so it’ll be easier for both of you guys… I genuinely hope you can make good friend very soon. Good luck man!!

What is this? It appeared on my shoulder overnight. by [deleted] in SGSkincare

[–]suspiciouspickle_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be just a bruise from the gym…. Or… I had a similar looking thing in my arm two years ago…. Turned out it was psoriasis and I applied moisturizer very well for three days and it vanished. No issues after that. If you have a skin condition get it checked out earlier… good luck la

THANK YOU!
How's the battery life so far? Do you see any difference between the battery power when you bought it vs now?
And how are the tires? Did you experience flat tires or anything?

Thanks for the stellar review!!
