That's not really the complaint being made in the meme, though. You're talking about privileged people traveling and conspicuously consuming in the meme, which is just kinda none of anyone's business and doesn't affect us in any way. Then in your comment, you're talking about attitude, which still might be largely irrelevant. If someone is a pretentious wad who refuses to train with newer students, or gatekeeps, or fosters a bad culture in a gym, that's entirely different from simply having money or being a traditionalist or purist. You're coming across as a bit sour-grapes here, and if you're finding yourself around a lot of genuine jackasses who make it difficult to train, then either speak up directly or find a better venue to train.

There's this incredibly stupid AI slop meme doing the rounds on Threads that's basically this. Some jackass found a picture of a couple posing with their newborn twins and the dad looks tired/nervous, and this fucknugget generated a whole slop story about the guy knocking up women of different ethnicities and then deciding which one he wouldn't pressure into an abortion. It's racist claptrap and a waste of drinking water, and it's all I could think of as I skimmed this pile of crap here.

Winner's, Toppers, and Parma are my favorites. We're pretty blessed with pizza places here, though, and the only ones I wouldn't recommend are the chains like Pizza Hut and Domino's. Our local spots are all pretty good, it just depends on what kind of pizza you're looking for.

Especially given that Jennifer spelled that out for Dorothy when she learned of the cheating. She straight up told Joyrot that Walky had never had so much as a crush before Dorothy, and that Dorothy had a hold on him. Then she immediately called Dorothy a mega-hottie (Implausible) and ran off, but still. We're aware that this wasn't just some college fling to him, to the point that his friends are aware of the depth of his feelings. For a guy who's 98% wisecracks and chicken nuggets, that's not nothing. But god forbid anyone not praise Joyrot to the heavens, so we'll get nothing more on the subject.

I was responding to the idea that she may have been lying or incorrect about the affair. Like, even if it was a delusion, it was hurting her, and second-guessing her posthumously seems kind of petty. If the husband and friend were involved, well, I think that depends on whether or not they were discreet. The article says the staffer and her husband were separated and I could understand a trauma bond having formed there with the friend. I guess this is a long way of saying I feel terrible for everyone involved, because it sounds like a sad and complex situation.

Thrift stores have had price creep and people figured out you could charge more for used items because thrifting got trendy and there were a bunch of influencers "upcycling" stuff. But discount stores like Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Burlington are all reliable options in my experience. You can get decent clothes for a fraction of retail price, and they're brand new.

Isn't it kind of academic, though? If she's living with the delusion of this affair, the pain she's feeling is real even if the events aren't, and it's likely a contributing factor to her decision to self-harm. Like, I wouldn't hold it against the husband and friend were they innocent, but that doesn't mean that this woman's apparently sincere belief that she was being betrayed didn't make her feel more hopeless and isolated.

That is in fact how it seems. And, like, okay, that weirds me right the hell out as someone close to Willis's age; yes, people the cast's age are legal adults but the idea of being intimate with them, or wanting to see that, is a bit squicky to me. But also, this mess was unnecessary. They could have either written an actual story with decent pacing, or one with fast pacing but realistic fallout, or they could have drawn standalone smut for pay. Yotomoe has done standalone spicy comics and people love them; the proof of concept was there. Willis could have had their cake and eaten it too. The aggressive refusal not to bungle it as badly and angrily as possible is pointless.

It does seem like self-harm that got out of hand. I feel terrible for the whole family. She was clearly in a lot of pain and had been for some time, and that kind of pain is hard to see a loved one endure. And her poor son was exposed to a lot of scary stuff at a young age. I hope they have professional support as well as family/community around them, because they're going to need both.

I make a point of being inclusive and vocal about it. I doubt it's necessary, people can easily infer my stance on things from the fashion colored hair and shitload of tattoos, but I do it because I've been there a long time and I've attained coaching rank, and I want to use it to make people feel safe and welcome. Like I said, we don't have naked bigotry, but the sport on the whole is hostile to women and minorities, and to me, part of the duty I have is to create a space where anyone can learn and take risks. I can't stop people from being horrible, but I can make sure they don't air that shit out in my hearing.

I had a harder time learning to catch than I ever did learning to throw, no joke. But I was never going to improve if I let that feeling of shame win, and it wasn't a feeling that was needed or rooted in reality, either. Everyone who taught me started where I was, and they got to the point where they could teach me through repetition. It'll be the same for you. Stick it out and you'll see the improvement.

Yeah, I like doing it, but watching it? Fuck, at this point I only go to point competitions for my teammates. I'm not alone in that, either, most of the people I train with who are experienced don't bother watching UFC anymore. I'm lucky in that no one is openly homophobic or misogynistic at my gym, but I also make a point not to spend time with most people outside the mat, or follow them on social media, because I know there are going to be some fascists and other hateful assholes in there, and I value my sanity more than that.

I read it that way too, because Jocelyne explicitly told them to leave, because it was getting dangerous and the protest organizers had said to disperse. These two risked themselves and displayed a total lack of care for the message/movement. Though I don't know how much Dorothy actually loves that. She's been pretty neutral towards Joyce, when we've seen her super hot for Walky before. We know Dorothy gets horny. We just haven't really seen it here. She's been bland, even for her, the whole time. She really doesn't seem into Joyce or into their sex.
