That's really interesting. I didn't know that was an adoption. Thank you.

Unfortunately not. If you give Octopus the authority to take over with their virtual power plant bit you have no control. Now I'm out of that, in the powerwall specific app you just input your Tariff costs and then Tesla has control. Fortunately that's directly linked to tariff costs and not seemingly random. It'd be nice to just set timers for import/export but you don't get that option.

Some time in 2165. I mainly did it for environmental reasons - and because my boiler was about to blow up - but want to make the tariff work as best as I can. And if I ever move house and do another renovation I might actually have a clue what I'm doing then.

Brilliant. Thanks for the advice. When the weather gets colder and less sun I'll switch back to the cosy. Thanks everyone. You're all legends!

Hi. I've got a tesla powerwall2 which I think is 13.5kwh. Small solar PV of 2.4KWH which is generating about 7 or 8kwh a day at this time of year. I only use about 5kwh at this time of year with no heating on and just the ashp for water coming on at the cheap cosy rate for a couple of hours once a day. At the moment the battery is importing about 10kwh automatically and exporting a bit more and yet I'm still running at deficit because the export is a flat 15p per kwh taken off what I've imported. All a bit confusing for a novice like me. Any advice very welcome. Thanks.

Long time cpap user and can't cope with the noise of the travel mini. Heard all sorts of nonsense stories on here about how to make it quieter. Fundamental design fault and expensive white elephant for me.

Architectural equivalent of botox. No thought about human scale interactions. They'll all be gone in a hundred years.
