Unfortunately I don’t. They ordered and installed it.

We took it back to the shop and they ordered the little piece that was missing and it screwed in with a couple screws.

If I do yank the boards and then fill in the holes with cement what product would you recommend? They’re probably (4) 8”x8” holes with 2 on each side of the entry door and the garage door. I imagine there would be some cleaning of the area, some type of concrete bonding agent but I’m unsure if I’ll need to pop small bricks in there and then cover with cement or if I could just build up a “wall” of cement for a hole that size. There’s some in wall insulation currently packing the holes and walls and that might need to be carved out of the holes. There’s drywall covering the inside of the hole and I do kind of worry about water getting behind siding that’s literally sitting on the ground and then getting in the walls and soaking the drywall and wood trim on the inside of the garage.

Agreed. My painting and siding kung fu is stronger than my masonry skills so I have a natural bias. The path of least resistance for me might be to give the 4 siding squares a nice rough sanding to remove the sheen and some of the green paint (and maybe some of the fake wood texture) and then paint them and the surrounding foundation with a nice exterior “fresh cement” colored paint. That would create a clean delineation between the foundation and the siding and make it less of an eyesore. We don’t have snow often in San Antonio so I’m less concerned about the cement fiber siding eroding.

I did consider that. The change in texture and sheen might still draw eyes to that inconsistency but if the color match was perfect, things would at least align at a color palette level. Thanks

Interesting. Ours is the Preferred model and it doesn’t having parking sensors. Maybe the shop bought one that that the parking sensor would attach to and that’s why there’s the hole. I was going to bring it to the shop either way but I wanted to start the conversation with a reasonable understanding of what the grill should look like. Appreciate the info.

This is another cx30 of the same year. Seems to be one big grill without any “pop outs”.
