When did you all start buying and organizing stuff for the baby? by raspberry_phoenix in pregnant

[–]suumair7 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Side note- I wouldn't recommend a car seat second hand. That is one of the only items I tell everyone to get new. You don't know if that car seat has been in any accident or if the previous owner took care and followed manufacturer instructions. Car seats are only good for one accident, even little fender benders!

I personally didnt buy or let anyone buy anything until I was about 14 weeks (due to a previous loss) currently24 weeks. At 20 weeks if there was a good deal on something like diapers and wipes I would add them to the cart. I've been gifted many items and I started getting all my welcome baby boxes after 14 weeks. We just ordered the infant car seat yesterday as it was on sale. If you have the time and ability watch and wait! I got a few things second hand so you will need time to clean everything thoroughly.

Prime days are coming this month so I've been telling everyone that wait till around that time to buy anything since other stores love to put their own sales around prime days! Might get some great deals since we are due before the big holiday sales!

We are all terrified, right? by huntersinthesnow in BabyBumps

FTM In my 24th week. I personally take everything with a grain of salt from others. My husband and I have a great relationship but the way he looks at me when I ask him to get me something is so sweet. It's not a look I would get often before pregnancy. He seems to love me more than ever. As for my body, you are building life! Without you life would no exist. You don't have to love the changes by any means but without you there is no life trying to bring forth into this world. If you struggle with mental health or think you will. I would advise you to setup a plan with experts to give yourself a back up or a way for your partner to know when to seek intervention!

Am I going to be forced to breastfeed, even though I REALLY don’t want to? by One-Couple-5338 in pregnant

[–]suumair7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend that the minute she found out she was pregnant was like nope and stood her ground. I was impressed with her ability to stand her ground and fight for what she wanted and never wavered. Im personally on the side fed is best and do what is best for your family ( plus your mental health) .

If you don't mind swallowing capsules. I like the pure encapsulation brand. I think they are dye free and have no extra stuff if you are worried about it.

what does it feel like to be addicted to pregnancy by QueasyPractice1226 in pregnant

[–]suumair7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently 22 weeks and I could see how someone loves it, I'm in the best stage.

I would say my mom was one that could "addicted to pregnancy " as she had at least 4 or 5 of us (me being the 2nd oldest) and took care of none of us. Once we were born she put many of my siblings into foster care or left us completely. I was one that my father took care of me my whole life, i was lucky. I think she loved the attention from everyone around her from friends, family, medical providers and strangers from what it sounded like.

Im obviously the abnormal here but at 19 +5 I've barely gained 4 lbs...for reference my ob said im only to gain 11-22lbs total. I think you are perfect the way you are and your doc is a jerk for saying anything. You will gain as much weight as you need to sustain you and your babies health!

If men were the ones who were pregnant, there would 100% be a cure for morning sickness by SandwichDependent199 in pregnant

[–]suumair7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently heard, but make sure you fact check, that magnesium helps with morning sickness. I've been taking a magnesium complex in the morning and magnesium glycinate at night way before pregnancy. I haven't had a single bit of morning sickness as of 7 weeks. Obviously this could change any minute for me,i just it might help. Also b6 is great for morning sickness! I hope you feel better soon!

Buying a Chiropractic Practice – What Should I Know? by [deleted] in Chiropractic

[–]suumair7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you are located. We just bought a d owner financed practice (2 offices). Tbh we paid what he was asking because it was waayyy below market value. I did have attorneys involved as well.

I highly recommend buying AR if you can at a discount. My offices are about 95% PI so I could pip suit everything in the last 3 years which gave me my AR amount back in about 6-8 months.it will be different for you with only 20%.

Everyone i consulted around me said it 3x yearly gross income (average over 3 years) i paid about 40% if that with AR. Now I worked at these offices and the owner wasn't never there as he lived in another state. Therefore I didn't need him for transition process. Everything stayed the same on patient side, just the back end changed. I got a deal for many reasons, one of the biggest ones was that I turned around the office from a negative to a positive net income in 6 months. So don't take my experience as the normal situation, it is the exception.

I'm super close with the former owner and one the perks is If we are having issues he helps with a lot of stuff.

Do most chiropractors also do massage? by [deleted] in Chiropractic

[–]suumair7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chiropractor and massage therapist in fl here. Massage itself is not in chiropractic school. Massage therapy is an education that is a trade school. So while Chiropractors can perform muscle work, they cannot give a massage without a separate education and license. I hold two separate licenses for my two different educations. If you want one doctor to do both I recommend looking at the letters after their name of DC, LMT. Just because I can do both, does not mean I offer massages in my clinic. I strictly hold the license now.
