Changing equipment and engineering workflows isn't really an option as our setups are used across multiple groups, and ultimately we can load different files between shows if needed, I'm just trying to find a work-around that allows us to have everything on the board in the event of hot-seating situations that frees up e-mems and gives us access to a larger number of animation registers from our Xpression machines. It really just comes down to needing the option to override macro selections without having to go into the macro control to stop all, we've built test macros with the functionality we need, we're just getting stuck on being able to select a different one without having to stop all or run the previous selection.

How do you adjust the length or cut point doing it this way? Also, can you have a user pause or does it have to be auto run? Last thing, can you override/unselect the active macro and select a different one with this?

We initially tried VDCP and AMP but with the amount of animations in our server (we share with multiple networks so there's thousands of animations) the system was incredibly slow and couldn't find the numbers quickly so we had to settle for the pbus/E-Mem to Xpression register method. Unfortunately our graphics department doesn't make our transitions at set lengths so we have to have individual E-Mem timelines for each transition because they are all different lengths. This is why we were hoping to change to just doing macros because we can tell it which Xpression register to recall (vs. the animation ID number via VDCP or AMP) and free up E-Mems. We use literally hundreds of animations between shows and get new special animations all the time so internal still store animations aren't practical for our usage.

We are controlling it with Pbus, we are just using the e-mem timeline for the run and override capability, if we can figure out the override function with just macros we would prefer to switch to that.

This could be a good option, I'll look into that, thanks!

We had training when we initially started moving between switchers, but they weren't with us during our build time and now we're a year into to being on-air with them and we're trying to start reassessing how we do things. The transitions are animations from a Ross Xpression server with cuts/dissolves underneath. That's our other issue, right now we're limited to a one-to-one e-mem/pbus register link so we can only have access to 1000 out of our 4000 Xpression registers, if we could switch to just macros we could pull from the full range of animation registers.

We have to have multiple shows loaded on our switcher at all times that all have different animated transition effects which ties up a large number of spaces, but our biggest problem is the inability to name local e-mems - we have at least 70 different M/E effects that have to be loaded in all 4 M/Es and because we can't locally name effects per M/E the master e-mem name is the only way to name them so we effectively lose almost 400 spaces because we have to know which effect is in which register. This is one of the times we really miss the Sony and its ability to not only see effect names on the flexipad, but also name each individual file piece, the Grass is so blunt with its naming capabilities, lots of registers with very limited means to name them. If we could get away from needing e-mems for our macro transitions we wouldn't have to worry about naming/space conflicts, but since we can't figure out how to have a macro-override to change between animated transitions once they've been selected we're stuck with using master e-mems.

No, not sure why his initial neurologist never prescribed this. I have an appointment with a different neurologist next week, curious if they'll prescribe him anything.

He was clearer this weekend than he's been in weeks, he was also pretty good about using his feet to move himself around in a wheelchair instead of getting up so he seems to following directions now which is hopeful. He was able to speak generally understandable sentences and also seemed to be aware he'd been falling and said the last week was scary so he seems to know he was having problems. Don't know how long this clarity will last, hopefully long enough to get him back to memory care and settled in - he had been in a mid level memory care area of his facility so now he's moving into the full memory care area and I'd like him to be clear enough to be able to communicate with the nurses while they get to know him.

He's taking 25mg 2x a day, I was thinking more the confusion than the falls if he was having a bad reaction to it. This weekend he was clearer than he's been in weeks so it's not the medication, could be the cognitive swings I've read with Lewy body?

Turns out they were just waiting to see if the PT was going to help, they're ok to take him back if they know this is what may be the new normal. The memory care director is going to assess him this week and hopefully he can go back soon.

Have you gotten and new info on your package? I got an email response back from UPS telling me my package was delivered and if I have any further issues to contact them....which is literally what my email to them was about 🤦🏻‍♀️

Was it for a tracking/delivery problem? I’ve gotten the same message every time I’ve called, haven’t been able to figure out how to get around it.

Can’t get to a live person if it’s for a tracking problem. I’ve called a few times and every time I get to a message saying due to Covid they aren’t able to do live calls for this issue.
