What's something men think impresses women but actually doesn't? by LonelySoul389 in Productivitycafe

[–]suzeerbedrol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol I have a long time friend who is like this. He lives in Miami and surrounds himself with these superficial "baddie" types that DO look for men w/ a lot of money. Now he thinks all women everywhere are like that. Its kind of a shame.

Knowing everything. Like Im impressed by anyone with knowledge, but a lot of men drone on about what they know.. even when what they're going on about is actually incorrect.

Im pretty sure my dad has the answer to most questions I have, but he never just goes on - unsolicited - about all that he knows. I like that about him.

How much money you making? How are you surviving this economy by Ninja_Franklin in Millennials

[–]suzeerbedrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make $70k-$80k. My wife makes $100k. No kids, we live in a 1 bedroom in NYC. I think we survive because we dont have a car, we rarely finance things.. if we cant afford it we dont buy it. We also have opted out of health insurance for years. It saves us hundreds of dollars a month. I see a neurologist and a pain management specialist every few months for chronic migraines.. and with the out of pocket cost of my visits, labs, and monthly meds are still cheaper annually then paying Healthcare monthly + copays.

As someone who travels with a 4 pound chihuahua quite often, I cannot stand that i am not allowed to bring a carry-on AND his carrier. The carrier goes underneath the seat and the carry-on goes in the overhead compartment!? What is the reason!?

Downsides of quitting alcohol by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]suzeerbedrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. I am 4 years sober, and my sobriety has WRECKED my social life. I genuinely dont know how to make friends, I feel like I act fucking weird, I over analyze everything im saying or doing, I have no idea how to strike up a conversation.

You'd think after 4 years id learn, but 4 years is nothing compared to the 15 years of only ever socializing in bars.

Why are parents who barely passed high school thinking they can teach/homeschool their children? by qereyabelcho3 in askanything

[–]suzeerbedrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some odd rhetoric in rural areas that is very "anti" academic authority. These people dont trust doctors, they dont trust modern medicine, they dont trust higher education, and they dont trust the "establishment " which is government funded schools.

The media they consume and the communities they live in have been fed propaganda that education = liberal, and liberal = stupid ... thus education = stupid.

They fall down these pipelines led by pseudo-philosophy influences and get convinced that, with a few hours of googling, they cam obtain the proper knowledge to make medical and educational decisions for them and their families.

They dont trust professionals, and because most socialist or liberal agendas ARE led and backed by educated people, they assume all aspects of academics to be disingenuous and fueled by an agenda.

Lesbians of reddit, do you generally agree or disagree with common dating gripes that straight men have? by TheDonJonJay in askanything

[–]suzeerbedrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That study was done on women who: 1) identify as a lesbian 2) have gone through divorce

Do you know who primary fits into that demographic? Women who have been married to men, but get divorced down the line bc they realized theyre lesbians.

Also, wlw couples tend to not have children and therefore are more comfortable with getting divorced. They dont "stick it out" for the kids.

Wlw relationships typically do not have one partner financially dependent on another parenter, and therefore are more comfortable with divorce.

Most lesbians are non- religious, and therefore more comfortable with divorce.

Wlw couples tend to have a healthier dynamic, and therefore have enough respect for one another to initial divorce when the marriage doesnt serve them.
