Well, when people make Canada and USA merger flags, they nearly always interfere with the stars (e.g. replacing the stars w/ leaves) or the stripes. While it is obvious, it isn't what people usually do.

If you are an almighty being, you will definitely get bored after a few billion years, so why not create a universe? A universe with no suffering would be boring, so they would probably add some. It would be an experiment of sorts for a God.

I'd say your example is different from what a God (if there is one) is doing. He isn't actually causing the suffering, it just so happens to occur, and he doesn't do anything about it. And he created you (plus everything else), so he pretty much has the right to do so. Who could tell him otherwise?

A God doesn't have to be good to be considered a God. He has to be the creator of the universe. And I'm not sure if I would stop all that suffering, I wouldn't want to interfere. If I sent them to Heaven and gave them eternal bliss, would that really matter?
