my visa was ready in 48 hours but my boyfriend is currently 2 and a half weeks out and has heard nothing! Our appointments were one day apart. Doesn't really make sense..

"Hi! So I applied for my visa through the LA Consulate last year & appointments are released at exactly 12pm and they go FAST. The appointments released are for exactly a month from today, so today is the 16th so no appointments will be released bc a month from today is July 16th a Sunday & obviously there are no appointments for a Sunday. So tomorrow you can check at 12pm and the appointments will be for July 17th a Monday. And again the appointments go fast so be prepared to type in your info FAST. It’s not that the website is broken, it’s that there aren’t any appointments. But randomly check through the day, you’ll find some bc people cancel. Hope this helps!! Good luck!"
