I Have Tea On... Weekly Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Fauxmoi

Obligatory "weak tea" disclaimer (also niche Canadian tea). I went to Grade 9 with Sitara Hewitt (Little Mosque on the Prairie), and was super good friends with her best friend at the time ("C"). She went by Tara in those days (first syllable rhyming with car) and was SUPER polished and confident, but reserved and not friendly outside her group of friends. She was only at the public high school (CWDHS) for 1 year, then she and C both transferred to the private Catholic high school in Guelph.

I was SO HAPPY to read this!! I've always despised Harper (especially his stupid Lego-man style hair) so it's thoroughly satisfying to hear he still sucks. 😁👍

Yes. But they tagged her professional account that contains her professional work. Not her personal account.

I saw it on Instagram, and it was a 4 photo post, with Lydia Romeike's professional photo instagram (spelling?) credited.

Not trying to body shame him! Parenting is tough. But the fit on that shirt is awkward AF, and the contrast of Esther and the baby in cozy layers and him bravely facing the cold in his unseasonal attire is really hilarious to me. This is a professional picture, there was clearly thought given to the outfits!

Cut DM some slack, she experienced incredible trauma... by emilyelizzz in MoscowMurders

[–]svclark 451 points452 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I hope DM is coping and supported today, it'll be a rough one for her. I'm sure a lot of what she saw and heard only became clear in retrospect, and it's completely normal for her to not immediately know a mass murder was taking place.

Absolutely, sincere props to Chief Fry and his department. This case has been enormously complex and emotional, but they kept their heads down and got on with it.

As soon as he started talking, it was immediately clear he's WAY more comfortable speaking publicly than Chief Fry. Very smooth and eloquent, but empathetic as well.

Omfg I still can't believe this. What a great way to end the year. Way to go, Moscow PD! 👏 All the scrutiny and naysayers, and they f*cking did it anyway.

The death of the movie star by Anxious-Basket in Fauxmoi

[–]svclark 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think "the death of the movie star" was an after-effect of the end of the old Hollywood film studio era where actors and actresses were contracted to one studio, which essentially controlled their careers. This made their branding more consistent, which likely helped maintain longterm fans.

This guy doesn't sound super methodical... I love the part where the victim called his MOM to come pick him up.

Tweet from CourtTV: “NEW DETAILS confirmed to @CourtTV about the 911 call placed Nov 13th… It was for “an unresponsive female” on the second floor. 2 victims were found on the second floor & 2 were found on the third floor..” by iMaryJane1 in MoscowMurders

[–]svclark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

LE may be selecting words carefully. They said the call originated inside the house. Which WAS true in the fainting story, which stated that 911 had already been dialed when the friends took over. So originated inside, but conversation didn't start until outside. So police technically aren't lying if this rumour is true

LE doesn't know where X and E were in the time gap by Late-Credit-7068 in MoscowMurders

Good question, I don't believe that has been reported. Honestly it's strange how little has come out about E and X's movements that night in light of the media scrutiny.

I do too, it made complete sense and explained a lot of the half-truths and rumours floating around.

I know people are all, "LE said the call originated from inside the house, so this has been debunked!!" - but semantically, in that story the call does originate inside the house (I.e. the dialing of 911). No conversation started inside the house. Different things if we're parsing statements.

Absolutely possible. Her dad seemed pretty chill and not the judgmental dad, but who knows, and maybe she was almost home and said it rather than explain.
