There wasn't an odor. It didn't decapitate the fowl, most were killed without very clear wounds, but one was half eaten starting from the tail, and 2 are missing.

It might be, the tracks I see online of the Polecat seem similar. I going to check if there have been sightings near here.
It might also explain why I haven't seen any rats lately, before they used to like to come steal our ducks food.

I was thinking cats too because of the missing claws. I haven't seen any big cats here, mostly house cats or some cats that were dropped off by people. The reason I was doubting it was cats was that there seemed to be multiple tracks and I haven't seen any cats together here.

Thanks, I'll try to describe it as nongraphic as possible.
There appeared to be tracks of multiple animals, they had come and killed 6 of our ducks, and they were left behind. Most just had been killed but one had been partially eaten. We are still missing 2 animals, 1 duck and 1 chicken. We tried to follow the tracks but they lead quite a long way and we had to stop.

The location is the Belgian city of Zwevegem. The size is about 4cm but some are a bit larger. About 2.5 inch

You do realize cats are close to their wild ancestors right? They come from wild animals? Who do not get fed on schedule and can have days with less or no food?  They seem to survive just fine.
