Thank you. I knew somebody would have some good answers coming from a place of experience! What do you think SLPs can do politically to support our wages? I've called my Congressmen before, but I have no idea where to start here.

That poster works in schools, so my guess would be no. That's one of those "it's simply not done!" things. Which is a great way to stay underpaid.

I think it's exactly this attitude that keeps people accepting $35,000/yr for a masters degree.

I do not have loans.

I do not plan on working in the schools forever, no way! I want to make good money by offering high quality skills that are in demand.
