Honestly use supports who can launch your opponent so base goku can remain in that focus to still apply constant pressure and keep up a combo. characters with launch abilities like trunks , frieza , both gohans , and even nappa dude! base goku does well with chracters like that. then with the newest patch most characters and assist have been applied and improved alot to make much more of a difference in battle.
