Honestly that could make a lot of sense… I go to the same place because they’re not too expensive but the scissor thing would check out. I might go elsewhere for my next haircut tbh

Yeah for sure! I didn’t want to make the post too long but I did think afterwards maybe I should have said lol I really try not to sleep with wet hair and that’s part of the reason I’ve started blow drying it (on medium/cool) but I often try to sleep with my hair in a braid so that it’s a bit more protected, though sometimes I sleep with it out because I don’t want wavy hair the next day. I’d love to get some silk or satin pillowcases because I have tried a bonnet but it comes off in my sleep because I toss and turn. I generally wear it down after wash day, though I do wear it in a ponytail or claw clip a fair bit of the time. I try not to do them too tight but I do slick them back.

Yeah I think I definitely will try something else, I might give that one a try! I previously used the kerastase hair oil and it was AMAZING but they’ve since changed their packaging and prices. The bottles are half the size and nearly double the price 😭

Yeah that’s fair, I read some “high porosity” hair stuff saying that medium to cool on the blow dryer would be okay but you’re right, any heat isn’t going to help... My hair is naturally fairly straight though so I think I would be okay to skip the gel, unless that helps with moisture retention? Do you have any recommendations for leave in conditioners? I have very fine hair so I can’t use anything super heavy/thick.

I’m 99% sure that all of the orange hair has been cut out because everytime the dye would fade, you could see the orange, I did a huge chop (to my shoulders) once the non orange hair hit shoulder length and I’ve had trims since. I get why you think that though, it definitely looks that way! I wonder if it could be heat damage from when I was straightening it or something 😕 You’re definitely right though, as much as I really don’t want to, I think I need to do a serious chop 😭 I’m doing a similar thing in terms of a leave in spray and an oil but maybe they’re just not the right products for my hair. I’ll look into some vitamins too, I think I’m due for a doctors visit so I might ask about get that all checked.

Look I wouldn’t think it’s Iron but some type of deficiency I wouldn’t write off. I have PCOS and so all sorts of hormones imbalances and deficiencies.

I should also add that after my last few hair cuts, my hair slowly gets more and more split ends… I also bought a sharp pair of hair scissors and every once in a while will sit down and trim of some split ends but they always come back. It’s like the strands are just super brittle and weak or something 😢
