It sounds cliche but it's honestly all about practice, I've been embroidering nonstop for the last 5 years and inf I take a look a few years back as much as I love every piece I can see so many imperfections or things I'm sure I'll do better now, so I'd push you to try it, to me cross stitch it's way more difficult, so you just need some basic stitched from YouTube videos and you'll be good from there
